:help: I have been under extreem pressure trying to decide if I want to let it go! I came to this Forum a while after I bought my 2003 Marauder. I have never wnted to sell it but my near future will decide that. I know you guys are tops with the MM information and may know what mine may be worth.

I hope to get an honest opinion on an appraisal from my MM family! I made a video this afternoon and posted it a few min ago.

Thanks for any and all input.

You have a lot going for that car. Its in near perfect shape, original owner, low mileage, and it been really cared for over its life.

The values been jumping up and down, I know what my friend John got for his ultra low mileage Marauder which was in absolute perfect shape with less then 6K miles on it, and I seen what some people pay for higher mileage Marauder that are not as clean.
I'm thinking the range of $15-17K for your Marauder. If I was in the market, I wouldn't have a problem paying that for how clean and cared for your car is.

Good luck with the sale, hopefully you'll change your mind and keep it.

+1 I agree. You should start at no lower than $16K. Its an early 300A with all of the early features like the full sized spare, gas door release, front seat map pockets, etc. Depending on how early in the build cycle you were, I'd consider bumping up to a $17K start. The car is well cared for and low mileage. Very few out there can compete with that. Think that I would try to fix that door scratch before selling.

KBB says private party value is $14,315. Add $200 for the trunk organizer. So, I would accept no lower than $14,515 absolutely. The market wants these cars and $15-17K is reasonable. Someone out there will pay it. IMHO.

BTW -- excellent video.

The car is worth more to you because of the level of care you have given it. It would not be out of line to ask 17,000 for this car. I recently sold a 2006 mustang gt for what dealer retail was. If you can wait... your buyer is out there. Good luck!

Not a PENNY below $15,000!

I just paid 15,000 for mine and it's not nealy as nice as yours!

Hope the sale comes soon and let us know what you get for it!

If I was selling your car I would fix the door issue and sell it as a perfect condition car at 17K and take no less than 16k.

Let's Look At It From a Different Angle

Here's another way to view the value .....

Sure, the car is 8 years old; but it has low miles, garage kept, perfectly maintained and has seen little road use and wear and tear. So it has really only experienced roughly 1/2 the depreciation that would be normally expected. Based on that assumption, its AT LEAST as good as a 4 year old Marauder. So the value would be approximated by the value in 2003 + 4 years = 2007. That's right in the $17-18K ballpark. $18K may be on the high side. Add one more year of depreciation as a bracket bound .... and you are in the $15.5 to 17.5K range.

Nice car, if your situation allows it I would keep it.
It's obvious you liked the car since you kept it as clean as it is. Especially for a Michigan car.

i can easily see this car selling for 17k. don't forget whoever buy this car is probably looking for one and when he sees this one 15-17k it won't matter IMO. you should fix the door thing through. GLWS.

I would ask $17k for it. If i would have seen your car back in November when I was looking it would already have been mine.

17k for a quick sale, I'd start @ 20k, you can always go down, you can't go up. GLWS if you decide to follow through.

Hope you can keep it, but I think the members here are spot on.
If you take less than $14k you're a fool, and please give me your address so I can drive over and slap the s**t out of you!!! :D

I agree with Spectragod, start high and adjust from there. Folks looking for a clean, low mileage MM do not have a big selection to choose from so that puts yours close to the top of the list.

I think the advice your getting from the peanut gallery is good. I recently bought a 16'5K car and paid less than what they are saying but I'm from Jersey and I got a guy.

The "defects" on your car are so insignificant, if you didn't point them out I don't think anyone would have noticed. The scratch in the door is to bad but it shouldn't devalue the sale price. If the car is a early '03 build I would would worry about the bad paint issue but from what I see in your video it looks like you do not have this issue. I would ask 18 to19K and not take a penny less than 16K.
You have a real gem there and it is a shame your circumstances may force you to sell. I hope you are able to keep it and now that you are retired we would like you to come to our events and get more involved with the MM.net crowd. If you keep it think seriously of coming to MV9 in Hershey Pa. We would all love to ohhh and ahhh at your beautiful MM.:)

Just saw it on detroit CL for 20.5 if your interested.

This was a test ad and I will remove it very soon. Most were right about, you can always go down and I thank everyone for the great feedback. It's really appreciated!!!

I have posted that almost 2 weeks ago and never got a call. I figured it was too high. That's why I asked here. I will make a decision in about a week. I will most likely will be posting it on EBay for more coverage. You can see the photos on CL here http://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/cto/2432993705.html

Thank again for all the GREAT FEEDBACK!!!
