Powered Ratchets

Why do powered ratchets have a trigger without protective bumper to prevent unintended triggering? Every time I’ve used one, there was at least one unintentional activation due to proximity to an obstruction.

It took me a while to find a long neck one with a bumper for at work use. The item being fastened would always have obstruction by the trigger.
