Pro Guards

Since I purchased mine it has done exactly what I bought it for.

I resent that a mod I paid good money for after installation requires no adjustment, repairs or maintenance.

This is :bs: How can I enjoy something that requires no attention!

Please sell mods w/ design defects and poor material that requires my constant attention.

Thank You,

A satisfied and unhappy customer

I couldn't agree more! Dayum thing hasn't cost me an ounce of time since the 15 minutes it took to install.

i just tore mine off the car. After being next to the exhaust it became flimbsy and would flap in the wind...Had 2 people in 3 days pull up along side and tell me it was flapping in the wind...so off it came.

You musta did sumthin wrong. I've seen HUNDREDS of cop cars with these things and a buncha Marauders, too. Never anything but an improvement.

Hmmmmm....?

Any more proguards available I need a new one for my new MM im getting whats the price now?

Got the one installed on my CVPI (one on the Marauder has been on for about 2 years now). CVPI took a little more work to get it to fit, but that is due to a bent bumper support/impact bar that the piece you screw the bumper to. Nothing that the dremel couldn't fix.

Then again, I had to use the Dremel to cut off the stock bolts/nuts since they were rusted together.

Followed the wife the other day...

To make sure the pro gaurd was working. She only got up to about 75 but I didnt see any ballooning of flapping. So far so good.

Did anyone have an issue with the screws at the center on the gas tank. If I remember right there were longer replacement screws with the progaurd, but I couldn't get the originals out of that slot the factory put them in. So I just used the original. The nut with the progaurd on just barely srewed on enough. Anyone else with this issue?

I use the OEM screews and it works perfect for me

i installed mine into the bumper not on top....If it sags like that it will eventually go...I have had mine for awhile and no problems at all...

Yeah, mine worked also I would just have preferred a little more thread engagement. But its not the fault of progaurd. It was the slots the factory put the originals in. There was no way to get them out with out cutting something. Kind of a dumb way to do it.

THANK YOU For asking this!! As a fellow idiot, I was scared to ask - Can someone post a link to a picture / catalog description? :stupid:

This picture is from directly under the rear of the car. Top is rear bumper.

It's simply an ABS plate that extends from under the center of the trunk to the bumper. It prevents air from 'ballooning' the rear bumper and causing it to sag. It also helps correct a certain amount of sag if already present. Some have said it has a positive effect on mileage as well. YMMV on that. It's pre-drilled and comes with HW and instructions.

It is DEFINITELY worth the few bucks for curing the "saggy booty" syndrome typical of the Panther platform.

It is a big square platic plate that correct two problems with the stock rear bumper cover: 1- Parachute effect on the highway (some report up to 1 more mpg so it kind pay for itself) and 2- With age, the bottom lip of the bumper cover tend to sag or wave. The Prøguard keep the thing in it's place straight like a bra would for ... you got the picture.
