Pulling engine and transmission this weekend

It is finally time after 6 weeks of a dead car sitting in the garage. Will be renting a hoist, putting the engine on a stand and disassembling for shipment of the block and heads, covers and transmission to the engine and transmission builders.

If any bay area Marauder owners feel like stopping by San Jose to lend a hand I would be glad for the help. Jockeying it out without scratching the paint is a two-person job.

What time Saturday morning should I arrive? I have one good arm (elbow surgery 5 weeks ago). So, more help is welcomed.

I'm finally feeling up to the job myself. Have to get it going or I'll delay the even-slower builders.

It's always nice to have a few extra hands helping out :)

Don't forget to buy floor dry and a few extra catch all pans
 
LOL, all are welcome, I'll pick up something for the barbecue also. Tools might be helpful, although I have most of the usual suspects. I don't have a compact 3/8" air ratchet, I have always just used hand tools. I have a 1/2" impact but that is mostly only good for lug nuts, to large to fit inside an engine bay comfortably.

BTW dewalt's 20V 1/4" impact is my most used tool in the box anymore. Simply awesome for light/medium duty. Light weight, widely universal, less time listening to the compressor, and plenty of uses even around the house. I own four different versions from 1/4" to 1/2"!

Sorry, just hearing you mention "by hand" made me cringe. [emoji6]

Yes, my Makita impact is a god send and my most used tool I own. Can't believe it's lasted this long and still going strong.

You guys pull your nose hairs and trim your eyebrows because I will be filming Saturday with a GoPro Hero 4 Black.
 
Just make sure you rent a big enough crane. The harbor freight ones (here at least) wouldn't reach. I had to borrow my step-dads OTC 4-ton crane...
