replace engine

i went a head and did forged rods and pistons, polished the stock crank, a valve job on the heads, got it bored .020, new timing chain and components, 98 cobra intake cams. after its all said and one i will have a bout $3-3.5k in the engine build, and that was pulling it myself.

Any of these shops have tons of experience with Ford Mod motors:

TrueStreet in McKinney
HPPMotorsports in Lewisville
Gearheads in Arlington

You could also call Dallas Mustang and ask for recommendations. An engine swap shouldn't be that hard, but paying shop rates will not be cheap.

i contacted gearheads and they didn't even get back to me with a quote when i was searching for a builder with 4.6L experience.

You don't need experience to build a 4.6
It's just like any other engine

well maybe for a mechanic or machinist perspective, but for someone who wants a shop to build the engine (like the op) i would rather choose one with experience with my particular motor as i am sure most consumers would.
