Revenue = $100,700,000,000.00 this year.
Anyone have any idea what company this is?

(just FYI = Population of the U.S. = 295,734,130)

Wal-Mart, Exxon/Mobil, Microsoft

Google?

All I know is it's about 1/4 of the pentagon's budget, which is about $401 billion for 2004.*

(* excludes Iraq and Afghanistan wars)

Maybe we could get this revenue monster to kick in a few bucks towards the cause!

Exxon's revenue was that much, in 1998... I would assume there's been an increase, since then... I'm guessing this will be something completely unexpected... An insurer, perhaps???

the funny thing is, politicians are just now reacting to a possible cause for this :lol:

Maybe some of it will be invested in expanding US refineries.

Did you have a point about Exxon? So what is your solution to big oil companies raping the country during time of crisis? We've known this for years. It's kinda expected nowadays, and the oil companies aren't the only ones making money hand over fist.

Incidentally the numbers I gave are from the 2004 budget, not 2006 (and it appears they have gone up to $440 billion, which further drives home my point that $100 billion is small 'taters in comparison).

EDIT: I chose google because I read somewhere they were $100 billion something - not sure if that is their total worth or annual revenue.

And, it would be really cool if they decided to cut some Pentagon fat to fund hurricane relief.

CONOCO profits announced yesterday were up 89% in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Maybe they should just call them "BOHICA" increases -- :rolleyes:

Appropriations don't really work like that though...
