It is with profound sadness that I must share the news that Rex passed away overnight. Terry, his wife, called me just after 2pm EST this afternoon. He had just finished his physical therapy sessions the other day, was eating healthier and losing weight. He signed off on the website at 10:16pm last night after posting six times yesterday.

Service will be this Sunday at 3pm at the Church of Good Shepherd in Greenville. Visitation will be at the Church prior to the Service.

Update: Rex's Obituary

I will take care of whatever is most appropriate on behalf of us Marauderers.

Terry said what she needs right now are prayers and support. I told her, whether near or far, her Marauder Family is only a thought away and we're here to do whatever she needs.

God Bless you, Rex
May Your Soul Rest in Peace
Amen

Expressions of sympathy may be sent to Terry:

Very sad news. I met him and his wife at the Marauderville held here in St. Louis and I remember how kind and friendly they were to me even though they had never met me in life. A definite loss to all!

I'm lost for words. We exchanged PMs about getting together at Christmas time again. RIP Rex...

RIP Bubba, you will be missed. We will miss you, you always had a smile and a good time followed you where ever you went. And you were brave enough to drink any of the swill I put in front of your nose.

Happy Trails Rex.

Rest in peace Rex. I will miss your posts and your presence at future Marauder events. A true gentleman and a all around great guy.
You will be missed greatly by this community.

I just don't know what to say, simple words just can't describe the sadness I feel. Rex, you were a good friend that I will miss terribly. I'll miss playing cribbage and jabbing back and forth about Vikings Packers. I will always remember you and hold you dear in my heart. I'll forever hold your last text to me wishing my ViQueens well.
You always brought smiles to everyone's face, you filled with an eagerness and passion to help your fellow enthusiast. You were a MAN among men

Until we can play cribbage again, RIP my good friend. Earth is a less satisfying place without you here

Horrible news,Prayers, thoughts, sympathies and best wishes go out to the family,I guess today those aren't clouds in the sky just a little burnout smoke.

God Rest your soul Rex, you were one of the first MM.net people to say hi to me and Meredith at MVX, I only wish I has more time to get to know you...

I met Rex at one of Justbob's gatherings. A truly friendly and outgoing man. Made me feel like an old friend after just one meeting. I am very, very sad to hear of his passing.
