Searching for New Fuel Pump -1st time-

Believe it or not i am still on my OEM fuel pump with my Super Charged engine --am at 75K on the clock and 53K on the super charged engine.

My recent tune indicated the need to replace it along with a higher amp alternator--so I have already purchased the upgrade to an 160 amp alternator--still in the box-- so now the search is on for the fuel pump.

Problem is , this subject has been around for a long time and there are many opinions on it--some say the GT-40 is best others say that it is not etc..--but no matter what, the whatever one I get, needs to be a better performer and of course "fit" size wise-

So as easy as it may seem to do , it is major for me to be right on both subjects..

So if I could get some feeling towards what is your opinions and why including any specs I would appreciate it very
much --

thanks you so much!

Tom

I am pretty sure this is the Ford OEM Part # for the 2005-2006 Ford GT Fuel Pump which I'd highly recommend.

I thought that FORD no longer offered the GT pump....which was a very good pump.

I noticed that the one referenced by fastblackmerc above on eBay is same as that one from "backnblack" previously with one exception--
the numbers are the same except at the end one has "CA" the other "AA"

wonder what significance that must be ?

Anyone have an idea?

Thanks so much

Looks like the old reliable Ford GT pump isn't available on RockAuto any longer. It just so happens the pump in my 03 is going out. Can the Aeromotive 340 be used on a stock vehicle without a tune or modified FPDM?

The one FBM posted has the incorrect part number. 4G7Z-9A407-AA doesn't yield any results from Tasca

I wouldn't trust it as a true GT Supercar pump.

You could always search for the gen2 GT pump. The gen2 is E85 compatible and has a built in blow off valve so you will need to remove the existing PPRV

Is that the part number posted above? I can't remember if it will require a tune or not. I've been out of the game for a couple years.

Thanks for this info BackNBlack. Ordered mine on Monday & received it on Friday so I know for a fact it is still available. Just google search motorcraft PFB-81 & it came up in multiple places.
