Is it April 1st?! WTF?!? Truly sad. Another familiar American icon comes to pass, even if in name only. My daughter and I went shopping the other day, her notebook paper was made in Vietnam. I was going to buy a pair of Levis, knowing the last time I looked they were made in Mexico, and I put them back. Haiti. Levis. Now made in Haiti. I put them back. I can only buy so many Zippo's and Mag-lites in an effort to feel like I'm doing my part to keep jobs and brand names here in the good ol' USofA. Sometimes I feel like I'm in a strange land. :(

You think renaming the Sears Tower is bad....wait too someone buys Wrigley Field and see what they name it!

It will now be known at the "Willie T".

Like, "Hey let's meet at the Willie T for lunch.

And there's always that "Macy's" debacle.
Heck,I'm still mourning the loss of Riverview, the World's Greatest Amusement Park.laugh your troubles away.

The song!

Early in the evenin just about supper time,
Over by the courthouse theyre starting to unwind.
Four kids on the corner trying to bring you up.
Willy picks a tune out and he blows it on the harp.

Chorus:
Down on the corner, out in the street,
Willy and the poorboys are playin;
Bring a nickel; tap your feet.

Rooster hits the washboard and people just got to smile,
Blinky, thumps the gut bass and solos for a while.
Poorboy twangs the rhythm out on his kalamazoo.
Willy goes into a dance and doubles on kazoo.

Chorus

Chorus

You dont need a penny just to hang around,
But if youve got a nickel, wont you lay your money down?
Over on the corner theres a happy noise.
People come from all around to watch the magic boy.
