I keep my car in prisitne condition, yet I notice that the driver seat bottom is showing its age. I am sure that many owners have noticed this as well. Does anyone have a connection with Ford Parts so that a group buy could be arranged on the leather cover. I plan on keeping my car a long time and would be willing to buy now and have the part on hand before it becomes obsolete.

The guy I bought my Marauder from said he had the driver's seat recovered under warranty due to a blemish in the leather. I guess it helped he was the dealership's business manager. IIRC, he said it was like a grand worth's of work and it had to be done off site. It will be interesting to see if it is a serviceable part.

$1k? Yikes! I'm wondering how it could possibly have cost that much...unless the labor was hideously expensive. Or maybe the top cover with the god's head logo is $$$? Though I guess even the bottoms are Marauder-specific with the stitching...hmmm.

Local fabricator

I have a local group that have looked at my covers--they can duplicate the logo--will get a price from them--give me a week

Guys,

Here's Sergnt Mac's thread about replacing the bottom seat cover on his driver's seat. It doesn't look like it's too expensive for the cover.

I am on my THIRD seat back cover.....The "God's Head" that is embossed at the top wears VERY POORLY!!!!:mad2: :mad2:

The last one I installed myself.....takes about 45 minutes if you never did one and about 30 minutes if you know how (I watched the second one get installed)!!! Only 2 screws to remove the hard back and and the rest is "Plug & Play"!!!

I'd be interested in a Light Flint bottom if a GB is going to happen!!:D

Marauderjack:burnout:

If you have factory warenty the seats are covered. I thought my seat back was riped but it was just loose. I had them replace it for free and I was able to get the original back to keep.:D

I'll be watching this. As the first post said "I'll be keeping my car a long time".... Me too.

Bottom and back rest for me....
