Seeking a performance tuning shop in Northern CA

Lowndex

Post Marauder Mod Disorder
Can any of the CA Marauder owners recommend a performance tuning shop in Northern CA area? Anywhere from San Francisco to San Jose to Sacramento. I am hoping to find a quality shop with supercharger knowledge (install my super charger one day), has dyno/s, etc.. and has worked on Ford and Mercury rides.

There is a shop in Tracy Ca speedfreaksinc.net and another one in Santa Clara apexmotorsports.com. I know Apex is a mustang shop dont know about speekfreaks. As far as superchargers for the Marauder? FIT and Trilogy arent CA approved and I have yet to hear of anyone in CA install one. I read a post the other day about one from Ford but....dont know if he ever installed and if it was "really" CA approved.

superchargers in cali discussion on carjunkietv.com

Check out carjunkietv.com

go to the forums, garage, and scroll to a thread "superchargers vs nitrous vs ??? "

some good information there about the smog legal issues in cali

Yeah:banana2: seen your post keep that thread going to see if anyone has done the FMS route on the Marauder. That would be nice a factory approved blower approved for CA....NICE!

JBA performance

Thanks Dennis!
I'll take a mental health break at work tomorrow and call JBA. They arent down the street but its a nice weekend drive down thataway...
I really appreciate your common sense wisdom here. Can you offer some simple guidelines related to budgets and horsepower gains? I'm somewhat limited in the finances but please shed some light on this for me and the other Marauder pilots without deep pockets....

If you start with a stock 300A Marauder with lots of miles but no current issues, what would be your build up plan look like with these different budgets

$0-500......

$500-1000....

$1000-2500....

$2500-up- I'm not in this area but a guy's gotta dream

Thanks for all you do for this forum

Appreciate the tip

SpeedFreaks is the real deal. Thank you for the tip.

JBA Racing is in San Diego. Ideally, I am looking for a replacement to SpeedFreaks, who went out of business in 2008. I live in northern CA near Sacramento.

AEDHP.com is the best in NorCal. Call Shaun he is the tuner. I made 331rwhp/375rwtq and a dd tune of 321/360 and drives oem really.

Thanks Warren,

I have an appointment with Chad this Wednesday.

Did you go Vortech? That is the only CA legal supercharger that I know of. E.O. D-213-24

BRG Racing

They have much experience on 2003-2004 Mercury Marauders and a solid reputation for tuning all things (car, motorcycles) that want to go faster.
