This was my kill from this morning coming to work. It was 8* out so i took the long way to work to "open" the MM up. So im at the light on 301 and 197 and next to me pulls this 2006 or 2007 Trailblazer SS i had no idea he wanted to race until the light turned green and i heard his exhaust  so i punched it WOT car bangs into senocd gear i pull about a car away and as i get up to about 100mph i notice he is abour 2-3 cars behind me. Got to the next light had to make a right into my job he gave me the :2thumbs:. Silly Trailblazer SS :D

Here in the islands...

It's the Titans that think they own the road...

Needless to say...They loose every time...

ALOHA

BTW: Good Kill...

Next time watch out, those bad boys can run 12's if need be. Samew ith SRT-8 Cherokee's. I've seen some with nitrous (100 or less) only, no other mods run mid 12's.

I see a black SS Trailblazer at work almost everyday, his plates have GT KILLA on them. Pretty sharp looking ride.

The RWD are a tad bit faster than the AWD units, but they are both impressive for a 5000lb SUV that also has a torque challenged motor when completely stock. Just like torque challenged vehicles like the Marauder, it too responds VERY well to mods like a high stall torque converter. GM tuned things rather conservatively, so the TBSS responds very well to many mods. Doing a custom tune along will gain us at least 0.3 seconds in the 1/4 mile, which greatly increases drivability. The next step for us is a CAI which is impressive due to a very restrictive factory setup, and then eFans to get rid of the mechanical fans. However stock for stock, a Marauder will have NO chance against a TBSS. A Marauder at the least will likely need 4.10 gears, and a higher stall torque converter.

The SRT8 Jeep is a different story off the line thanks to a close ratio 5 speed transmission, along with a higher stall torque converter.

My wife bought an 09 Sportrac Adrenalin awd.It has the 4.6 3 valve engine, 292 HP & about 300 ft/lbs of torque with a lovely 6 speed auto box. I've driven it a couple times & am impressed with it. Can't wait for spring to see what this thing will do.

They are pretty nice rides. I have raced two of them and each race was extremely close, so close that a win or loss boils down to the launch and hence, the driver. I am assuming they were both stock which makes them quite an impressive vehicle!

Dir Sir, I mean absolutely no disrespect but I must raise the BS flag here based upon your post of "As is now I think I may be in the high 13's" and what you have listed in the time slip page 14.510@98.09.

There is no doubt you beat the gentleman in the traiblazer but one of several things must have happened for you to have beat him by "2-3 cars". Either, he wasn't really racing, you got a huge jump, he had no idea what he was doing or it was a regular trailblazer in SS clothing, which does happen more times than I would have even believed.

The slowest of the traiblazer SS are very low 14s and are usally in the high 13s. We have one trailblazer that has run 13.3 with just lighter wheels, no other mods. With a CAI and e-fans I ran 13.7@102 in horrible DA. In 8* weather the TBSS would really wake up. A 13.5 SS in normal DA would be a 12.8 SS in 8* weather.

We have in excess of 3500 members on our Forums. I am sure we have a Trailblazer SS in your area that would have comparable mods to yours what ever they may be and would be willing to run. I have $100 that says I know the outcome.

If you would like to meet up, I am sure we can get the race set up. If the $100 is not enough of a pot, we have many members that will chip in to raise it.

BTW I love these cars. We have one running around here on a turbo making about 500rwhp. I have never seen it run but would love too.

Peace,
Silly Trailblazer.

A challenge has been put forth, and I think it's a good one! Anyone know when DTR is coming home?
