Silverstars vs PIAA Platinums

I see that most who upgrade thier headlights do so with Silvania Silverstars. Any opinion on how they compare to PIAAs? I had the PIAA Platinums in my '02 SVT Focus and loved them, but they cost $20 more for the pair. Also is there a matching replacement for the fog lights? The PIAAs made my fog lights look yellow by comparison.

Paheff,
I took out my Piaa bulbs and replaced them with Silverstars. I like the Silvertars better. I changed my fog light bulbs to Silverstars also from www.suvlights.com

Paheff-Internal testing shows SilverStar outperforming the competition for legal use. SilverStar offers the highest performing halogen on the market, meeting all regulatory standards both in the U.S. and Canada.

Well that seems pretty conclusive...Silverstars it is , tomarrow. And I save $20, gee who'd a thunk it?

fog light bulbs

Silverstars are also available for the fog lights. They are H1 bulbs. I have been having trouble find them locally, and guess I will have to order them..

FYI:
Walmart sells the Silverstars by the pair, and were the cheapest that I could find around here.

H1 Silverstars

I had no problem finding the 9007 headlight bulbs, but I have had no luck in finding the Silverstar H1 bulbs (foglight) other than on the internet.

I don't like the white light of the SilverStar. For me, it reduces visibility in the rain. I chose the XtraVision and am pleased with it.

Don't forget to replace the turn signal bulbs with SilverStars as well. I just got mine in the mail. I ordered them directly from Sylvania on their website. They arrived about 4 days later. I believe the bulb # is 3157, but don't quote me on that.
