With factory tires, Park. My MM never left the spot when I got caught in one of those random D.C. winters. With the snow tires I started out in 2nd. Even in my Subaru I still start out in 2nd cause I'm already 3 psi in around 2600 rpms.

1st is too much torque for slick conditions.

+2 The rear tries to go everywhere in first (if you don't have TC). I learned that trying to get started on a hill last winter.
