I am pleased to announce that I had a great chat with Steve tonight about a lot of things, but the best news is that Steve and Carol will be joining us for a number of activities at MVIII! Hopefully he can stop by the welcome reception on Thursday before we take all the Marauders for a Lap Of Woodward Cruise....67-70 Marauders in a line Cruising Woodward! He will attempt (no promises) to have a photographer and videographer from Ford there to document the Lap and also at the Dream Cruise on Saturday. He will also join us on Woodward for the Cruise on Saturday as well as the Breakfast on Sunday morning. This is great news, Steve is very happy that MVIII will be right here in MoTown! I never get tired of the "where did the Marauder come from story!" it gets better everytime he tells it!
Just wanted to share the good news....In Steve's words, " I wouldnt miss it for the world!"

PS.....Steve doesnt know he is the Grand Marshal yet!

AWESOME!!!!
I missed the chance to meet Steve at MVII....

Now I look forward to shaking the hand of the man who created a soon to be rare classic!

Tell Steve that he needs to work on his wave. He can watch Miss America for a good example.

Great News!

Great news, Steve and Carol are wonderful folks. He doesn't need to worry, I'll make sure he can get to church on Sunday morning. -kjs-

Did I promise a fun time for all? Steve passed up other things to be at MVIII...

I saw it mentioned in another thread about the MM.net group getting together for a cruise sometime on Thursday but I haven't seen any specifics yet regarding this or the "reception". Any details?

COOL! Now we'll have both MM's autographed! :)

Steve and Carol are a class act. :2thumbs:

Yes...its all true! We will be posting the Itinerary, Maps, Locations w/addresses and phone numbers, registration times, and more. Basically everything you need to know, when, and where, will be posted as a PDF document so you can all download and print it before you leave for MVIII.

Hopefully we will have 50+ Marauders for a procession on Woodward on Thursday night.

The Welcome Reception is something I worked out with the Host Hotel, The Hampton Inn. It will be a time to register as well as meet other guests, The Hampton will provide drinks, snacks, munchies for us at our request.

Much more forthcoming!

What Kathy said ^^^^ My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting and spending time with Steve and Carol at MV-II and in Atlanta (right along with Kathy and her lovely daughter) they are a great couple and you are very, very fortunate to have them present, Steve is great car guy, down to earth, good listener. Carol is also great, friendly quick wit, fun to be around.

I really regret that I can't make MV-III, a lot of good people will be there.

Make sure someone brings a white marker (again), for a very special autogragh in your vehicles engine compartment. Steve really seemed to enjoy signing cars at MV-1 and 2. ;)

They make silver sharpies these days... they might work well....

What about the thought of having the Marauder "Story" written up and then printed.... signed by Steve.....

Could be sold for the cost of the printing etc...... Then it would give us something frameable, signed by "DA MAN".

Anyone attending MVIII is welcome to attend church with my family on Sunday. We are members of St. John's Episcopal, Detroit. It's downtown, right next to Ford Field and Comerica Park where the Lions and Tigers, respectively, play.
