Struts

Many threads on this topic. Monroe Severe Duty ot KYBs are best stock type options. Suggest you also Buy the the extra "mounting bushing" installation kits as well. KYBs will feel a little extra firm at first.

Chris At ADTR.NET has all the right parts for sale for all panther platform cars. Even a coil over set up. Front and rear if you want a complete set up for your car. Or the right stock replacement parts. Is Rock Auto cheaper in price for there parts. I would say indeed there are. But I support the small business guys and gals. The benefit dealing with Chris. Is you get everything from stock replacement. To aftermarket kits. In a one shot shop and buy. That is a direct shop for our cars. And his customer service is second too none. It is Werth checking ADTR.NET TO what he has.

Monroe struts and shocks

I went with the Monroe severe duty struts and shocks
From RockAuto.
I have not had the struts installed yet
But have an appointment scheduled for next week to have them installed & an Alignment
The OEM Motocraft rears had 80K on them.
The fronts are original @ 140K.
I might have other things worn in the rear Because
There is still a little thumpy noise from the rear.

Check your control arm bushings. A few of my Metco’s were badly torn after five years. I felt the rear always dance to the right and thump some when I jumped on it. I didn’t see much of anything until I removed them for inspection.

Ever get these installed? How are they if ya did?
Thanks!

I have had them for about 8k miles, their a little stiffer than stock which is nice. But the nuts they came with are already rusty, Id get your own hardware. For the price their a steal

At the risk of sounding ignorant, all I see on Monroe's site as well as RockAuto is Monroe Magnum. Is the severe duty gone now?

I have Gabriel police Ultra's in the rear of my '04 GMQ. They're nice and firm without being jarring. I have Gabriel Guardians (lower end version) all around in my 2000 that were installed 6 years ago and are still fine.
