PoP-PoP 'RAUDER
The lone Star Cougar Club has again invited us to join them in the Classic Car Corral on opening day of the Texas State Fair.I have participated the last 3 years and had a great time. They request we arrive at the gate around 8 AM , so we can be in position by 9 AM. You MUST remain there til 6 PM--that's one of the conditions placed by the Fair. You get the opportunity to see all the exibits (auto included) before the general; public arrives at 11 AM--we have breakfast together after positioning the cars---quite a nice way to spend the day. We will not have to fill out forms before we get there , as in past years---makes things a lot simpler. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU PLAN TO GO---we need numbers for the Fair folks. Try it, youll like it !!!!! Maury
More details---maps , etc will follow soon.

I will be there. Looking forward to seeing everyone because this is the only event each year that I know doesn't conflict with my race schedule.

Yes, Maury, I am planning to go. This will be my last chance to go to the Texas State Fair. I do need the form.

Cheers

No Forms Required

All paperwork will be taken care of at the Gate--so try to be there around 8 AM so we can have the cars in position by 9 AM---You do NOT have to be a dues paying member of the Lone Star Cougar Club to participate--Sooooo, let's have a good turn-out. See you there, Maury

I hope I can be there Friday the 28th to see you guys. I enjoyed showing my Marauder last year and getting an early look at the fair, but of course I no longer own my Blue meanie. I really miss it, too. But I would highly recommend any area Marauder owners to take advantage of this opportunity if they can.

Update from Lonestar Cougar Club Re: State Fair

I received this email from LCC.

Greetings

For those of you who may not know the location of the Car Corral is
different this year. It is located on the east side of the entrance from
Grand Ave. This is a very nice location and will probably have more traffic
than the old location. There are 3 seperate corrals---A, B, and C. LSCC
will be using A & B. No one will be using C. These are big corrals. Space
will not be a problem. However there is NO shade in A which is the biggest.
B does have a fair amount of shade. My suggestion is that if you have an
Easy Up shade tent or the equivilant you may want to bring it.

Hope to see everyone there on Sept. 28th. I believe that Jennifer will be
sending out more details in the near future.

Gene

Thought this information might be useful.

I plan on being there :), but I don't think Diane will be able to join me :(.

plans on coming

I am making plans to stay in arlington.. to come.. info on entrance?
