The madness continues!!!!!!

Good Luck with the build.

The most critical part to develop consistant power is the drive system for the S/C. Off by one washer on one pullley is all it takes to throw off the system.

Use OEM or Vortech or Procharger pulleys when you can.

I just replaced a Vortech pulley with a Procharger that had to be machined. The Procharger had 2 bearings vs the Vortech which had one bearing.

Speaking of pulleys ive converted to an 8 rib setup using motorcraft pulleys ive got the alternator, power steering, a/c clucth pulley, and an 8 rib innovators west balancer, all thats left are the two idler pulleys, i got the pulleys from rock auto.

A 2001 lincoln navigator is a excellent donor car!

Which pulley are you talking about?

sweet! Have you decided on octane yet?

The Innovator West may require grinding on the Timing Cover. If so seal those areas or you may have an oil leak.

I recc Meth for your set up.

The crank sensor block is the one that needs to be grinded.

Yeah ill definetly have to grind some of the raised material away, they have a great diagram of what needs to be removed since i have the 15% O/D balancer.

The directions I have are detailed. When they were contacted about the oil leak they said sometimes that happens. Wish they would have noted that in the directions.:(

Exactly what type of oil leak did you have? was your cover cracked, did you remove too much material?

Where grinding was done exactly per the instructions. It made the grinded area porous enough to have an oil leak. Innovator says that occasionally happens.

I wish they would have noted that in the instructions, would have saved a lot of time and frustration.

I suggest you seal up any areas that are ground.

that only happens when the person that did the job doesn't pay attention to detail.

That's not what Innovators said. I don't recall you being there when the job was done.

Either way when you start modding your car things are going to happen. Every thing is not exactly alike.

I am giving a heads up to a member. Thats what this site is all about.

Today i finally picked up my 10.1 Aluminator long block:banana2: ill add pics as i progress with my build.

Im going to use a Innovators west 7.5" (15% overdrive balancer), a Prw sfi flexplate, Moroso deep sump aluminum oil pan, and a custom sheetmetal intake (hogans).

This is my first ford crate motor i was immpressed that it came intake gaskets, exhaust studs/gaskets, thermostat, spark plugs, tensioner, and a few other goodies!

where you pick her up from? ford not making the long block anymore right ? so if I am wrong with this information.

I ordered my motor from Summit racing, which beat ford racing123.com price, and yes ford is still making the Aluminator.

My motor was shipped to me directly from Ford.

That's great on it being cheaper!!!

Yeah every ducket counts! my YSI should be here today, ive got an appointment thursday at weldcrafts fab shop to take a look at fabing some mounts to install my intercooler:coolman:
