The thrill is gone.

You CANNOT compare! in fact, my marauders been down for 6 months now. Im stuck driving the crown vic and you know what? Im going through damn withdrawals. its like a tease almost. The crown vic is similar in the most blandest way, and knowing what I've been missing out on for the past half a year is damn near heart breaking haha.

What happened to your car?

Sorry to hear this, yours has always been one of my favourite cars in the entire Panther community but all that put aside I can see where you are coming from, I guess after having the same car for a certain length of time you will simply get bored of it no matter how good of a car it is, you want a change at some point. I believe it will happen to everybody sooner or later.

Thanks, gentlemen.

I really appreciate the kind words.
I would keep her you said yourself there won't be another car as clean and well maintained. You have any pics? I don't own a marauder but want one. I know I'll never sell my 96 town car executive.

Your family is growing Steve , congrats! So send it to Kindig It Designs custom shop in Utah and have them make it into a wagon. Rear fab and some paint and you'll have a bad a$$ soccer mom/dad vehicle .

But, it's not in the dedicated FOR SALE section, it's in the Community Discussion, so no need to lecture and shut down the conversation, imho.

I guess we could just start another thread on oil filters, or something new, like the controversy surrounding K cups....riveting stuff guaranteed to keep interest levels here high. :banana2:

I drove a 2003. It's a nice car with leather, but it's the same thing with 16 extra valves and slightly louder mufflers, a Grand Marquis front clip, Crown Victoria rear, and an exorbitant price tag for a 12 year old car. No offense to the Marauder fans, I just don't understand all of the hype. I very much like my Panther, but they are apples to apples. Same platform, drive train, etc. etc. etc....endless similarities, because they are the same car, all in all.

16 valves, 24 valves, or 32 valves, a 4.6 still has 281 cubic inches of displacement. Anybody can throw a turbo or super charger on any 4.6 just the same.

Lol couldn't find a Marauder seller that would take payments I see..

I still have my thrill, but I really need to get into the 12's with a bona-fide time skip, maybe next month in Lufkin. I'm sure I have the equipment and tune, just need a drag strip close by that's open when I arrive.

Ford doesn't make anything I'm interested in right now so I'm keeping my Marauder. Hellcat Chargers are tempting but I'd rather bleed Ford blue if possible. Now if Ford ever came out with that 2007 Ford Interceptor concept or that 2002 Lincoln Continental Concept, I might reconsider but would be keeping the Marauder also. :-)

FORD has really gone downhill IMHO......right direction for "Tree Huggers" who like little FWD cars but wrong for folks like me who like bigger RWD cars and some "POWA"!!:shake:

Mustangs are COOL but too damn little and I'm not sure they are headed in the right direction with their appearance......"hey Tom, let's hang some more spoilers on next year's model and slant the headlights more!!" JEEZ-A-LOO!!:shake:

My Marauder and me will stay together from now on I guess since her new motor cost about what she was worth before the motor blew.......PLUS....IT'S REALLY STRONG & FUN NOW!!:burnout:

The good thing is that when Steve does decide to get back into this craze...the people that have garage queens and sell them will afford him the opportunity to get back, condition wise(well maybe...) what he's looking for...
