Tired Of Looking for Affordable Tires

Hammer as Needed
OEM Rear tires are just too expensive for my pockets. I'm tired of looking for affordable alternatives with matching front tires. :argue:

Just VENTING !!!

Just before Marauderville VIII, I replace both cars' sets of tires with Dunlop SP Sport Signatures. Got 8 tires for $800 and had the wheel alignments set to CarFixer's specs.

A year later, the 2003 is showing slight inside tire tread and will have the alignment adjusted before Marauderville IX.

On the the 2004, I just replaced the two fronts with the brand new BF Goodrich tires we had for spares. The Dunlops were so severely shaved on the inside. I'm hoping to get by another year on the existing tires. Going to put mini-spares in each car.

I have had some pretty good luck with Kumho ecsta spt I wet with 235/45/18 front and 245/50/18 rear for sevral years. I am on my third or fourth set (100k+) sence I bought the car.

I just ordered a set of these Yokohama AVID EnVigors for my 03 in 235/55 and 255/55. I ordered them Sat afternoon from Discount to take advantage of the $100 Visa giftcard Discount was offering this weekend. They should be on this week some time and I'll let you know how they work out. I just put another set of Yokohamas on my wife's Mustang and they seem to be doing pretty well.

I bought a pair of P245/55R18 BFG's for $78.00 each + shipping. The "Z" in ZR is the speed rating, which I believe is 130MPH and I am not going over 130.

I plan on running what I have on the rears on the fronts next spring.

Nitto 420S for the win.

I meant stock size on the front and +1 on the rear.

Are these the OEM Camaro tires? Feedback on them hasn't been good.

Keep in mind that load rating as well as speed rating is an important factor. If the sidewalls aren't real stiff, you're not gonna like the handling.

Nitto NT850...I love mie...speed rated high performance all season...stock size front 255 rear and treadwear 500...

RayJay, were you the one that originally had the thread about the Coopers? Assuming you have them, how are they holding up. I am in between those and the NT850s.

I still have the old tire matrix done by a member here long ago. PM me for a copy as it will need to be emailed (too big to attach).
