Torture!!!

Guy who installed mine told me the same thing, wait 400 miles, *****tttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt, i waited about 4 blocks and then had to see what i just spent money on, well worth it. I do need to go get the gear oil changed tho.

Change the fluid after 500 miles....ah what?
if the rear end was cleaned right and all new bearings were installed and pre asmbelled with the 75-140 and the fiction modifier was used there should be any issues.
if gonna break its gonna break with or with out break in

I know its hard to contain yourself DOOM!!!!!!

It was difficult, but I stayed out of it for a while. I know it wasn't 500 miles. IIRC, I took mine on a 240 miles road trip on the T-Way the next day. I've had 0 problems, well, other than wiping the grin off my face. :D

Geeez I thought you had a Black Marauder with 500+hp. Didn't know you were still driving your Pink job with the Yellow stripe:flamer::P:D

Phosphorous compounds typically coat the gear sets. You dont want that in your oil long term

Never done a break in period on any rear end changes BUT have always changed out fluids between 500-750 miles for the simple reason of inspecting the lube for any signs of tiny metal shavings as that can tell you things even when no noise present

Hmmm...

My wrench, after installing the 410's, did drive it easy for the first couple of miles to get the lube circulated around while listening closely for any abnormal whine, growling, etc..

Then,....

Buh-waaaaaaaaaaaah!

:D

No recommended 500 mile lube change.

Drive it like you stole it.

Good-To-Go ever since.

Mike.
Its a DTR, theres no way you would have had the power to break anything.
