Keep your head up Fudpucker, we don't always know what's going on behind the scene when we make opinions, One day at a Time !

Car has front end damage. Because its got 135,000 miles on it, insurance company wants to total it. Car is fine from the radiator back.
If there's any interest in this car whole, or for it's Trilogy'd Ford Racing Aluminator with 25,000 miles on it....let me know.

Considering buying a crown vic and dropping the motor in it if I don't unload it. :flamer:

You can email me at bill@elginet.com if you're interested. BTW....the S/C was just rebuilt by Magnuson, not even a month ago....so this is an engine ready to go.

pm sent

sorry to hear about the accident

Got everyone's messages. A little overwhelming right now. I'll be getting to everyone as soon as the insurance company gives me final numbers.

Thanks.

If it were me and I loved the car (and considering how many "real" marauders there are now still on the road and versus clones) I would do what my brother did. His box Grand Marquis got rear ended about a year ago. Insurance was going to total it (considering age of car, etc.) and pay because it was the other drivers fault but he loved the car so he paid for a lot of his own parts (he had a lot of NOS stuff anyway laying around trying to fix it up to look good) and got the repair bill under what the insurance said the car value that they were going to total it at. Car fixed by body shop, insurance still paid for a good amount of it, car not blacklisted as totaled, and car back in my brother's hands, no salvage title to worry about, legal to drive still in any state, still runs great for 251,000 miles on original engine and trans (leaks some oil though), one less peice of Americana in the landfill, etc....he is a happy camper and that is what matters.

Best bet, said without seeing the car. Save it!!!

Another example of why I keep collectors insurance on my MM

How would you do that if your car is a daily driver and not a garage queen? Who insured your car? From what I've seen you are rescrited by mileage and usage of your car.

I'm definitely buying back from the insurance company. I don't think I want to mess with repairing it though. This will be the 2nd Marauder I've owned, and the 2nd one I've wrecked. (although the first wasn't my fault.)

Still waiting on final numbers from insurance co. I have everyone's email/pm etc.
