trilogy intercooler pump

Any ideas on why the pump for the intercooler coolant isn't circulating the fluid? I can hear the pump working but no fluid actually goes anywhere.. why is this??

It may not have primed.

Try forcing it to priming.

I know this is a new install. Was it ever pumping?

Foolproof method to get the pump going:

Drain all coolant out.
Fill back up.
Disconnect relay to pump.
Turn key on
Connect relay until fluid level starts to drop.
Disconnect relay then top off fluid.
Repeat until you can't add anymore fluid.
Done.

Are you a 100% sure you ran all hoses in the correct path?

This is either a routing problem or like Zack said an air lock problem. I've been lucky on everyone I've ever touched except once and it was a real PITA to evacuate the air.

I also suggest squeezing and hand pumping every hose that is accessible in as many areas as you can while it's running with the cap off the reservoir.

If the pump and bracket are under the battery tray area, try loosening the pump from the bracket collar and lowering the pump to the ground, or as low as you can get it. This should let gravity help you prime. Once you have coolant circulating, turn off the key and reinstall the pump in the bracket.

Should do the trick.

I'll give that a shot. Thanks. I also tried hooking up the outlet hose to the COT and letting the Coolant get forced through but only tried for 5 seconds since the outlet was exposed and dumping all the Coolant after it passes through the intercooler...didn't help but ill try again for a longer period of time

I had the same problem. I eventually used a shop vac to suck the coolant through... I think from the hose under the SC snout... but if the reservoir is full just suck it through anywhere after the pump. Just don't suck so much you bring air back into the pump. Refill reservoir and then do what Zack said.

So mysteriously I found the radiator pressure tester at my work.. put that bad boy on the reservoir and boom starting pumping like a champ. .. big thanks to martyo for the advice.
