Been reading past threads about UDP's, & I have two important questions before installation of my UDP's.

(1) Should I purchase new bolts??

(2) How much torque is used when installing UDP's????

1) Yes because the stock bolts are TTY
2) I went 90lbs and made a tool to hold the crank to keep it from spinning
you can use an impact wrench just tighten it too

What's the part # for the bolt? An ARP part # preferred. I'm doing this install soon also.

Ive re-used crank bolts as many as 10 times and never had a problem...save your money

Waiting for them to have another bolt shipped. Its times like this......I wish I had the tools, the garage and some time, so i could do it myself. :banghead:

I had Chuck Norris hold the bolt with his gaze while I turned the engine over. He had to close his eyes though because it wouldn't turnover... :burnout:

Read post #6 and #8 the TTY bolt broke on the reinstall as it should have.
It's a one time use bolt.

TTY bolts rarely break, they will stretch though.

Ive compared the lengths of new bolts to used bolts and they are near identical.

lol they dont stretch that much.

i hate dealing with broken bolts so i always replace them, not worth it IMO

No not a bolt this big.

Ever seen a modular rod bolt stretch? It can grow an inch if you look at it wrong
