Yesterday I noticed the car was riding very rough and when I returned home I noticed the back wheels were about an inch up inside the wheel wells??
I turned the ignition on and the familiar air pump sound commenced but only for about 3 seconds followed by a "PSHHHHHHH" then pumping again and "PSHHHHHHH".....and so on and on and on!!
After about a minute of this foolishness I started it up and drove around a bit but the rear end would not raise off the axle!!:mad2: :argue:
This AM it was the same thing.....So I messed with the air pump to no avail and then jacked the rear up to see if for some reason the sender arm had slipped off or something??
It looked fine so I disconnected one end and moved it through the entire range of motion about a dozen times.....like cleaning a variable resistor...which I guess it is??
I reconnected it and started the car to let it run while I went back in the house......When I returned it was jacked up in the rear like it is supposed to be (about a inch of daylight above the tire) and the pump was not cycling as before.....MAGIC!!!!:bows:
What the heck was that all about?? Has anyone else experienced this type of behavior??
:shake:
