What did you do to your car today?

Thursday I had started the MM up and it was making a nasty metal grinding sound, pinpointed to be the smooth idle pulley. Went to Napa and picked up a new belt, smooth idle pulley and tensioner. Got home and the smooth idle pulley was not the correct one (90mm) when I needed a 76mm smooth one. Threw on the tensioner and also checked the grooved idle pulley which I figured I would replace as well since I could hear a little bearing noise in it. Will be picking up the correct smooth idle pulley and new groove one at lunch today and put them on when I get home tonight.

Saturday, took the MM out to stretch her legs, and noticed when looking under the hood that my intercooler reservoir had a very small leak.

Next to the upper inlet/outlet is a hair-line crack, so it will need to be replaced/upgraded.

Also considering going with a GT500 intercooler pump as it has a higher flow rate than the Cobra pump.

Of course, going to contact Colex for added bling for the reservoir cap.

:D

Mike.

I'll tell you why the 'rum is always gone'...

Replaced my starter today because it did not SEEM to be engaging the flywheel. However, upon further inspection I discovered the starter was, indeed, turning the engine. The engine was spinning so very freely (no hint of any compression strokes) that the starter didn't even sound as if it were under a load. The timing chain had just recently been making some noise on start up, so I would say it appears my next post will be how I installed the Ford Racing timing chain kit...:censor:

Went to see & take pic of tranny, exhaust & gears install
That was 10/22/13, haven't posted all the small details since but since then I checked in on the Eaton swap install and other parts over past 1 1/2 months. Yesterday went to see GT 500 fuel pump install and see how close everything is to being finished , today went to see tuning during 2 dyno pulls. Its ready for me to bring home, be detailed and waxed before the going out and having a little fun.

Still laying in the hospital, just pulled catheter. That was a nice wake up... Tell ya the story later... I went 4hrs without pain meds when moved from recovery, couldn't move my legs or feet, numb and tingling. Worse pain in my life!!! Someone screwed up and didn't have a pain pump in my room for me...

I will tell you, if I screwed up at the dealership working on cars as bad as some of these hospital professionals screw up I'd be kickin rocks.

I did hang a Yankee Car Jar in the Marauder today. Leather scented of course.

Best of luck.

Twice, I've removed a C myself at home.

First time, they removed bladder stones (laser), and, second time, they lasered a prostate growth (non cancerous).

Both procedures were outpatient.

Fortunately, the prostate surgery corrected most of my problems, because I'm not looking forward to a third time.

Like Justbob says "build it better" ...Talking about whatever was ailing you
2 shoulder surgeries for me and had enough meds that I almost had to go to Rehab

 We just bought an Impala for my wife a year ago! Didn't think about it that way! Luckily, no grandkids yet! Kids are still in college.

We have no kids at all...

I'm 30 and she is 27... It's just a good laugh cause I always see a grandma driving a silver impala like hers... Except fiance's is looking good these days all tinted out! Slowly I will make her car be nice.. Has a very nice double din Pioneer head unit in it as well, I suggest that upgrade. Has all LED interior lighting... Makes the car oh so classy. ;) rofl!
