What did you do to your car today?

After enduring several years of smoky startups coming out of the exhaust pipes & increasing amount of oil consumption on the Marauder, I had the engine valve stem seals replaced (Fel-Pro SS72888) with all related gaskets needed & a fresh oil & oil filter change. No more oily smoke coming out of the tailpipes & a full crankcase after driving 400+ miles in 2 days.

They did it without removing the heads, right?

Black 03
Filled trunk with wheels and tires to swap on to DTR

Silver 04
New coils, installed colex coil covers, did a blend door actuator for my first time ever on a panther. Start to finish 2.25 hours, didn't pull the dash
Bought a power mirror to repair this one
Went to do the BCM and it fixed itself, hoses are in the way since it has extra hoses compared to the other 2 cars

DTR 04
Bought a new rear spoiler, grille, used headlights, can't find a header panel, swapped new tires on the rear of it
Parts came in, brakes, all filters. I have all fluids ready
New to me factory radio came in, fm works and clock is good
Cleaned carpets and leather, put cream on leather and got it looking better

Now time to start timing belt on a Camry

Just had the blower motor resister replaced so I can have my AC back for the summer. Also had a new 170° thermostat installed to fix intermittant hot running. Also had it burped.
Many thanks (again!!) to FASTBLACKMERC for posting his recomended thermostat. Made a big difference. Owning and enjoying this car has been greatly enhanced over the years by all the great shared knowledge from the experts on this site. You guys rock! Thanks.

Redesigning the clutch master and mounting point to a much more rigid set up that should take a pounding. Even less pedal effort and an up sized bore to rid high RPM pedal stuck to the floor syndrome (luckily only once, I've been fortunate)

Fourth gen F body Tic Performance/Tilton unit.

Yes............
^^^ Confirming this. Labor time is 15 hours +/- from start to finish.

If I knew about this within 2 years of owning the Marauder, it probably would had saved the original seals. I looked at 4 of the 32 old valve seals removed from the cylinder heads, they were really dry & brittle.

Wet towelled the SB to get the garage dust off, dried it, warmed it up, checked the oil and added 1/2 quart (first time it has ever needed oil) and went for ride... After 20 or so miles, and a few laps out on to freeway with strong pulls up to 80 or so (not racing--this is how fast they drive in CA on the freeway), at the next stop light I smoked rubber for as far as she'd put it out. Felt she slipped side to side and put it out for about 40 years or so! This was the strongest pull this car has ever done.

Was Badass for an NA Marauder.

Drove home, pulled into the driveway and then cried my ass off as I miss my son--and he would have loved the ride. The Marauders are something we did together.

When I could finally see, I backed it in, wet towelled the dust off, dried it, and re-covered it.

Photo from our last vacation, BOYZ trip to Maui- 4th day sunburned, inside, full of mirth, vim, and vigor. Happy 4th Berkeley. We miss you so much.

Hug your BOYZ!

Took my Galaxie into a local parade. Got lined up behind a Corvette club (about 10 Vettes.)

I had more lookers applauding my Galaxie than the Vettes.
