What did you do to your car today?

Took my Galaxie yesterday to a classic car show. Scored a "top 30" trophy out of about 250 cars. (My sticker said I was car #290).

Based on the competition level, getting an award shocked the heck out of me.

I think that the rarity of a mid 60's Galaxie vs mid 50's Chevys and other more common old cars is starting to pay off.

Air pump finally croked @107K! Drilled extra drain holes , now the question is Suncore , or Arnott?

Pulled the boys out, and took each for a thorough romping... Put leather softener on the silvers seats, got a chirp in second gear... Got followed around by a neighbor sheriff down the street. It was awesome!

Nice video. Narrow streets over there, pretty countryside!

Your drivers side wiper is very high. Take it off, remove the keyway and throw it in the garbage. Reinstall.
The passenger side is a bit high too. Just trying to help.

Here's another one for your viewing pleasure, same story different driver. In the first video I let my friend behind the wheel and I was doing the camera work, now I'm driving and my friend is filming.

The wiper has been like that ever since I got the car, it also wipes over the window frame which I'm sure shouldn't be the norm. Little bit of a language barrier here though, what exactly do you mean by keyway and how do I go about removing it? Thanks for your help, really appreciate it!

There's a small lever behind the wiper arm by the shaft where it attaches. Use a slotted screwdriver to twist it slightly away from the arm while lifting the wiper arm slightly. This will release the latch and allow you to gently lift off the arm. If it has never been off it may take a little persuasion. A second person may come in handy to pull up on the arm. Then you will see a small piece of metal that comes off. That is the keyway. Throw it out and reinstall the arm to the proper height. The keyway is mainly used to align at the factory. There are a bunch of splines on the arm which keep it from slipping. My suspicion is that someone already got rid of it and installed the arm too high.
