What kind of Flowmasters?
You asked!
42441.
Great stuff!
Long time 30 year friend and my tire guy, hooked me up with his exhaust guy... Took the black into the exhaust guy yesterday, and before they put it up on rack the owner and his dad (or other way around) came out and said, "what ever has been done to this car exhaust wise.... It Is perfect!" "Muscular and tough but not brash, loud and deep enough, slight barbel at idle... But not breathy and high noted... This is what we try and do!"
Now he couLd have simply been complimenting me and trying to butter me up... But he wasn't even working on the black, I'd brought it so he could see and hear what I wanted the silver to sound like.
After they put it up on rack, he asked if "Tim" had done the work? Evidently "Tim" is the local artist in the exhaust world who does great work here in Northern California.
I humbly explained that I bought it this way--taking no credit for the great work done before me.
He went on and on about the great craftsmanship someone had done earlier, and that he would match the work on the Silver. He pointed out cool things under the car for a while...

They installed them today in the Silver. They proudly showed me thier work, comparing it against the work on the black. They didn't yet do the Res delete, as they wanted me to drive it a week or so (they were happy to do it right then), as they thought it was nearly perfect as is.
I know every car is different, and every ear is different... But is is really cool when another car guy (and his son) goes to town telling YOU how cool YOUR car is.
BTW over the course of the two days... I learned the old man was a recognized racer from the area, and I gave him Carte blanch to ROMP on the Silver after it was finished. He only got into it half way a couple of times... And started to head back. "Oh no, you didn't really even get into a 3rd gear shift" so the old guy headed onto a great long curving freeway on ramp.
My car isn't yet supercharged... But he illicited end rang every ounce of getupngo outta the Silver. I'd never gotten it all... Large S turns at 80 plus.
"Damn" he said quietly... "This thing moves out"
3 digits later., he said quietly, "This test ride just cost me a to all fortune." I checked the side mirror for the CHP, as
I thought were we're getting red lighted.... Nothing.
A few turns heading back, "what's the Name of the website? How do
I find one of these?"
Now happily looking for threads on RES Delete... Or a new set of non res Meg's.
Good day all around!
PS I called FlowMaster with the code number to ask a few questions. When I read off the code and asked if this was a mild or middle of the road unit, the flowMaster (younger guy) kind of laughed and said, "Yea, well, ahhhh NO, that unit is kind of our straightest shot, only a duel chamber (1bounce) unit. You should ahhhh really like that unit!"
PPS. Please know I claim no expert knowledge on any of the above, and am simply relaying data as I found it. I do have a keen ear for tune, played music as a kid, and can tune almost any instrument.
PPPS at a Fireman's function recently, after I parked and exited the black... A group of burly firemen said as I walked by, "Hey buddy, that car sounds mean!"
