What does your significant other think of your Marauder?

My fiance hates the idea that i want a Marauder... "old peoples car", "hurst", "land boat" all the usual (and expected) responses...

She knows why i want one (after many many times me explaining with excitement after seeing one drive by) and knows its inevitable so i guess she'll deal with it when that time comes...

Im sure she'll hate it more than my Mustang seeing how i want a MM for daily driving

Here's your warning... This is just a preview of things to come. Its cheaper to walk away right now, and find someone who is more compatible. Divorce is expensive (but sometimes worth it). Save the huge mistake/expense, use it to pay for the vehicle that you want. There are many great ladies out there as witnessed at our .net events (MV, Louisville, Carlisle, etc). Keep looking!

My girlfriend absolutely hates them. Marauders/Vic's/Marqs are the same in her book, she likes the front but says "the back is too long" no matter what I tell her she won't change her mind. She's never been in any of them so she doesn't realize how nice the interiors are and how nice they drive.

I think it'l grow on her once I finally get one :)
You better plan on coming Marauderville 10 in South Haven MI with her. She'll be convinced in no time at all! Right, Girls!! :D

+1 run man, find one that will support your dreams!:coolman:

the marauder is hardly my dream... but i do love them :D

She is my dream and compliments me in every other way... i dont mind that she doesnt like all my cars... but she puts up with them because i love them so much... no complaints

im hoping to make it to the next marauderville... we'll see how work goes...

My wife actually likes the car better than I do. When she has to travel for a couple of hours she always takes the Mo as she calls it instead of her 05 Sport Trac which I think is a very comfortable vehicle. She will even wash it sometimes which is a miracle.

Mine or hers? I bought my 03 new long ago. My wife loves it, but won't drive it for fear of scratching it or something happening to it while she's driving it. This summer I bought a silver 04. I got a great deal on it, and the plan was for it to be my daughter's car. She's not old enough to drive yet, so my wife has ABSOLUTELY taken this car over. She enjoys driving it. It's old, cheap, and dinged up enough that she's not worried about anything happening to it.

It's funny - every time, and I mean EVERY time I'm talking to her on her cell and she's driving the car, I hear the car in the background, winding out with her foot deep into it! And I haven't even put a JLT on it yet!

My wife has owned two Twin Turbo 300ZX's and when I met her she had an AudiTT vert. One of her ZX's had A LOT of work put into it. Needless to say, her ZX's were faster and handled better...:( She HATES my car. She also know that I will never sell it and she lets me put money into it when I feel the need.

She loves it. Whenever she doesn't feel like taking the Cobra she just takes the MM unless I have clients that day.

She also really enjoys quality drunk time together in the back seat. Muhaha

The wife loved hers until it started having lots of issues. THen she hated it and we got rid of it. Then when mine started having issues she statred hating it too. She didn't like the ride either. SHe always said mine rode like a brick on wheels. YEah mines gone now too.

Prior to the Marauder I had a 63 corvette that I restored & customized. I made the mistake of sharing the cost of the build. Long story short she looks at the Marauder as just transportation. I don't discuss anything related to mods with her.

So far...........so good. But I've only had it two weeks.

Well she probably doesn't like that refer to her as it, but after two weeks it's opinion has little effect. Lol j/k

Who you callin' well behaved! Have you seen what goes on when the "wives " get together?????:D[/QUOTE]

Poor choice of words on my part. What I meant to say was...uh...uh...never mind. :o

I had to buy my girl a NEW car just to get her out of the MM! She's always happy when its time for her car to get serviced so we can switch cars.:burnout:
