What happened on your way to Marauderville XIII?

I'll start this one off since im curious if anyone else had anything to note on their travels. Mine came in the form of the coolant reservoir tube popping off 300 miles from vegas. Coolant spat everywhere, had to stop at a local station and luckily they had coolant available to toss in with some water.

Wow crazy stuff but glad you weren't riding solo and Tyler was able to help out. Do you know what caused this?
 
Well this is a great topic my son and myself are stuck in Winslow Arizona because in our travels with our group from the east I blew my tail shaft around 125mph so waiting for parts hope to get to vegas on Thursday

Damn Dean... sorry to hear this. :( Hope the parts and the fix work out quickly so you can join the group without much delay. I remember your gas tank problems delaying your travel to MV10 and you driving all night to catch us in Toledo, OH.

Cracked tail shafts are so common that dealers normally stock them. Fairly cheap part and super easy to fix. Good luck.

Only 125 MPH?
 
As I was all set to leave for MVXIII, I had to go to ... Orlando! I'll actually get to MVXIII tonight (Friday) (Saturday morning, actually).
 
I lost 3rd & 4th trans gear going to Vegas on Sept 13,
100 miles just south of the boarder with 1,900 miles to go but limped it back home slowly & got a flight out on the 16th.
Had an AWESOME time :banana2::beer::banana2:
 
What about "what happened in Vegas"? I know, I know, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. lol

I know a number of people were able to fit in their own site seeing. I saw a number of you already at the Atomic Testing Museum when I got there. I was also able to visit the titanic exhibit, old Mormon Fort, mob museum, Nevada State Museum, Spring Preserves, Nevada Train Museum, and I did check out Valley of Fire.

Where else did everyone manage to fit in on your own time?
 
Red Rock Canyon National Park, Hoover Dam, Lake Mead National Park and Mt. Charleston area in addition to what has already been mentioned.

Some great views but I'm sure there are better pictures out there than I could possibly take with my lack of photography skills.

Yes we were on an open stretch of road that appeared to be 10 miles straight and Chris and Gordon hit it, so I said no way I hit it then Dean. We hit 125 mph started backing down then Ken came over radio, Dean your smoking I looked in mirror and sure enough trans fluid dam...
