Am planing on getting some new tires but I don't know what brand should I get am looking for something quiet that you won't hear the road so much and that it will have good tread on high mileage use. And by the way how are bf good rich tires

latest consensus is either NItto Motivo or Cooper Zeon RS3A or the Firestone Wide oval..All come in factory staggered sizes. and all are better than BFG.

I have had Firestone Wide Oval AS Tires on my whip for 3-4 months now. Best tire I've ever installed, and the most quiet.
I blazed through the brutal snow this winter with them.
I put 245/55/18 on all 4 corners.

What does that do for the stance / staggered look? Any pics?

FWIW, I went Cooper in stock sizes when I bought the car. 15K miles later and the rears are at ~7/32, fronts are due soon even with tweaked alignment.:violin:

I've had Hankooks on the rear of my MM since the Marauderville in Hagerstown, MD. Still tread left but I'll be putting new Hankooks on since these are dry rotting.

Having good luck with the Motivo's. I went with stock sizes on the SB. I can't atest to the Winter capabilities as the car no longer sees snow but I know they work great 3 months a year

3/21/03....3/21/14

Cooper RS3-A's are great value for the money. Plus Cooper has a $70.00
rebate going on now if you buy 4 tires before 4/15/14.
Just treated by "my girl" to a new set of Cooper's today on her Birthday!

Gotta Love It!

Texas Coopers

Have had Coopers on for last 2000 miles. A lots of hot, dry running. Some wet, even some ice and snow. So far satisfactory. Good wet traction. Not showing unusual wear. Have a little tread hum. On tight turns they seem to have slightly less sidewall resistance than the BFG. The ride is softer, which Ginny likes. Still waiting to see what kind of mileage I get. Running at 35 psi all the way around. Time will tell. Maury

I am running Cooper Zeon RS3A on the fronts. With CarFixer alignment they are the best tire I have had on the car and great price too.

I'm willing for the NITTO NT555 255/45/18 fronts 265/50/18 rears and will have 5.2% difference in diameter between fronts and rears, so am I gonna trigger the TC on any speed or not? cz my Marauder is 2004
BTW what is the diameter percentage range to make between fronts and rears?
some told me 3-5% then another told me he made 7% on winter tires and was in the safe side from triggering the TC.
So what is the safe percentage range for the 2004 MM?

It shouldn't be a problem. factory stagger is 4.7% and others are running the same combo you are looking at. I've been told 3-6% is the range to keep tc happy.

Also some choose factroy front and go 255-55-18 rear which is 6.6% so you are good to go.

I have the Firestone's, I have had them for 2 years now, got them as soon as they came out. Still plenty of tire left. I raced them at Gingerman a few times, they are pretty darn good at the track, even better in rain and as Zack said fantastic in the snow. I used to close the door and watch my car slide with the BFGs. These things made my car handle like I had four wheel drive - a little exaggeration but really makes a huge difference and they are quiet.
