Wheel damage

Mr.Crabs
Some days it doesn't pay to get out of bed.:banghead:

My wife's Excursion has been in the shop 5 times in the last six weeks and she has been driving the Marauder. The Excursion is a big enough frustration, but damage to my car is to much. The last time she used it she opened the right hand rear door into a brick wall.:bigcry: I bring it to work this morning to have it washed and my car wash guy asked what I ran into. I take a look at my car and both of my right hand wheels have road rash and the front tire is sliced.:tantrum:

There are not enough angry icons to express my anger. The worse part about it is she won't fess up. My wife isn't a lier which leads me to believe she didn't even realize she hit something!:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I feel your pain, looking at that picture made my stomach hurt (little lower actually). You love your wife, so you have to deal with the pain without lashing out and saying to her what you really want to say (which would most likely cause a divorce)

My advise is, since she does not love the car as we do. Rent a car when her vehicle is out of service...I know, I know $$$$ don't grow on trees....but beating the hell out of your wife and going to jail....cost more.

Be cool, love your wife...rent her a car.

Oh, damn. Curb damage for sure. My wife can't tell she is near the curb until she runs into and over it. So far I have been lucky. My wife has had 3 new cars to my one (Marauder), and she has driven/beat all of them into the ground. My favorite expense was a set of 60,000 mile Bridgestone tires that lasted barely 10K because she underinflated them.

Now I take care of everything on the cars, but she still trashes the interior something horrible. Coke splashed on the dash, coffee stains in the carpet, ripped upholstery, torn headliners, you name it.

I don't let her PARK my car let alone drive it. If hers is in the shop I usually can get a loaner, but if that fails I would rent one instead as Smokie suggested and let her ruin that.

I feel for you and wish you luck. Hope you can get the damage repaired without too much cost or headache.

Regards,

Norm

Barb would never do that to my car. In fact it's always special occation when she lets me drive Sunshine. :sunshine: :burn:

BTW, nice SEIKO titanium kinetic you're wearing. :nworthy:

yep, it sucks but in the end its a car. I have been down that road too, I try not to get mad but I do. it only makes things worse, its not like she try's to ruin it. Then Murphy's law says I'll screw up next time anyway, like when I thought I pulled in far enough only to have the automatic door scratch my spoiler.

What's a wife?
Wife: A woman legally married to a man.
Come on Marty, you should know that!

Btw, Happy Birthweek! Welcome to 42!!!!!!!!!! :cake:
And good luck with your new and much improved Marauder. :2thumbs: :burn:

I've always had big cars, or at least cars that were on the large side compared to what most people drive. So maybe I'm just used to bigger vehicles, but I've never understood why people have so much trouble parking big cars. They're not THAT big. *sigh* Sorry to see the damage to your wheels and tires, klmore.

I agree. One would think that going from a lifted Excursion to a Marauder would be like going to a go cart.

I also had a huge case of sticker shock when I priced out factory replacements. Ebay has them at about $225 each. Either way this is going to dig into my supercharger fund.

Maybe she can work off the debt?

After you get everything on the Marauder repaired/replaced, present her with the bills....Perhaps she
won't be so quick to trash it next time her Explosion is in the shop. :bigcry: I feel your pain. Oh, and when they don't admit it with..." I didn't do it ".....ARRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH!

However,.. if it happens again,.. I'm getting 5 new ROH Drift R's and putting it on HER Visa. :D

5 rims you ask? hell yeah,... the spare's gotta match!

Sorry about your damage. Welcome to the club, metal can be replaced, but wives can't. A good wife is hard to find, and forgiveness goes along way.
You may be able to file, and buff the rash out.

When ever I ask my wife "what did you hit?". She replys "What didn't I hit"

You must not be married. If gave my wife the bill she just hand it right back to me.

Married for 32 years....She drives better than I do...I'll probably damage the car before she does...Then she'll hand
ME the bills!;)

this is why i bought a disposable car-a 2003 dodge neon. we use it as an errand runner/everyday beater/loaner car. this keeps the wife away from the marauder and the mustang. her car is a 2001 malibu ls. i stay the hell away from it.;)
