white marauder

uhhhhhhhhhh no.
i pay a high premium cuz i have countless speeding tickets.

i never knew that ppl driving with no insurance was why my premium was so high.. i learned something new today. :)

Truthfully Mac high insurance rates exist for a variety of reasons. Uninsured motorists are a big part of it. Because of the amount of money they have to pay when an uninsured motorists gets into a bodily harm accident, they pass that on to paying customers.
Second is the under insured that carry low amounts of coverage for medical and injury, when insurance companies have to pay out over those amounts, it gets passed on
Third, speeding tickets mean you are at a higher risk to get into an accident in their eyes so rates go up.
And lastly, rates are high because they are greedy bastiges

If you"ve ever had your car towed and had to pay an outrageous tow fee to get your car back, you can understand why it is being referred to as stealing. I sincerely hope this guy comes up with the cash and paperwork to get his MM back. If you want a MM go buy one and don't prey on other peoples misfortunes. Just my opinion.

Since when is it a misfortune to be arrested while breaking the law?
It's a misfortune that my dog died. Not some jagbag who couldn't be a good responsible citizen.. Just a fact.

Come on man, he didn't know he was suspended after he threw away all the letters from DMV or never changed his address with them when he moved, or forgot to answer numerous traffic tickets, or pay fines, or...
you can see I've heard every excuse in the book.

-and- yes, towing and storage can be very expensive depending on where you live. Thats why I have insurance for it. When my wife was hit head on by a drunk and her car was totalled two years ago I never saw a bill. The tow company owner said don't worry about it Ray, you are insured.

like i was saying before im not trying to take anybodys car from them! im glad that the owner did contact us about the car and i hope he dose come and get it b/c after talking to my boss he already said since the car is a rebuild he would n`t sale to the public and in fact he would apply for a CD and have it crush just because i wouldnt have a clean title but a rebuild title so for him he would send it to the junkyard! but i myself would keep it to save from that faite. so im hoping hegoing to get it some time soon before it gets to expensive,

Capitalization is important. It's the difference between "helping my Uncle Jack off a horse" and "helping my uncle jack off a horse". :)

and what is under insured?.... liability and full coverage... is there one that im missing?

Under insured, in Ohio, that is coverage if you get hit by someone with Safe Auto, the General and others who insure at the state minimum, 11k in this state.

Think about all that savings your getting when you lose you license because you don't have but 11k in coverage and you just blasted a 100k Mercedes, guess who gets to pay the 89k balance? Now that savings doesn't seem so great, huh?

why did u quote the same thing twice?...
can u give me a number of how many un-insured and under insured idiots get in accidents everyday?.... im sure my number is different from yours, u seem to know a lot about the subject

Under-insured is coverage that fills the gap between what the other driver carries for insurance and yours. It protects you from the uninformed or selfish drivers that carry very low liability limits.

As for not being able to afford insurance - if you can afford to put gas in the car, you can afford insurance. It's all about priorities.

Was talking to Steve Babcock at MV9 and we broached the subject of the White car. He said it was the most likely next color as each color except Black would have a 6 month or so shelf life. White would have replaced Silver Birch. I asked him about the interior color for the White car and he said they hadn't really got that far but any of the Grand Marquis colors would have been viable. We agreed a saddle color would have been a good combo with the White.

White leather with light or medium grey accents like on the White Lincoln Mark8's. They were georgeous!

All correct except for last item. Not greedy - rates are set by what $ is paid out in claims, overhead to run the company and federally required reserves and competition. In WI we are paying same or less than 20 years ago due to competition & insuring more vehicles covering the needed growth.

Ya! But they saved 15% in 15 minutes!!! To bad they didn't know what they were buying & the person on the phone didn't care what they sold them, just as long as they bought...:mad2:

Ummm, 1 in 10,000 tows are people who actually fit the group you are referencing. This guy was not "misfortunate". This was a social degenerate commiting a criminal act. He got busted & now has to pay the consequences which include the tow & impound. The tow lien is placed right away to make sure the tow company gets paid for their work. Either the person collects the car, pays the bill or it gets sold. This way the company stays in business and the tow truck driver gets paid. How long would you work at your job if after you put your 40+ hours in the company said "sorry, no paycheck this week".

Just cuz he was driving on a suspended license doesnt make him a bad guy. Maybe he was just down on his luck and got popped over something minor. Good luck stealing that mans car.[/QUOTE

i agree with this statement but either way goodluck sir and if so may you guys truly enjoy it.

Give me a break. He broke the law and now he has to pay.

Pretty simple, be good or pay the consequences. Doesn't bother me one bit.
One thing I've learned in life is to stay the hell out of the system. Otherwise they milk you to death.

I had to explain that to my son.

And yes, insurance is the biggest scam in the world created by evil people to get rich on other peoples money.

I had an experience with a tow co. that made me hate them all in general.....even though I shouldnt. I was living in an apartment and had rented a covered space from the complex......they hire a tow company to troll the lot and pick up cars that do not have passes displayed in their window. You had to get a pass from the office every week to display in your vehicle so it wouldnt get towed......I had about 3 expired ones sitting on my dash, but I failed to put the new one in there. The tow truck driver scoped out the place and picked my vehicle to tow.....picked it up at 4 a.m. and I went to get it at 8 a.m.....just four hours later....the bill was 185 bucks....OUCH....and it was only in there for 4 hours!

Now that is an outrageous fee for 4 hours, and thats why I dont like tow companies, but it was my own fault for parking in my own rented spot with out displaying my current pass. But $185.00 and they break into your vehicle to inventory it?

But I must say, that if I had tickets that I didnt pay, had a suspended DL, It would be my own fault for getting arrested and getting my car towed.

It wasnt the OP's fault he picked up the car.....the property owner called the tow company to pick it up. Unfortunately for the owner, this country allows its citizens to loose their cherrished items, so he may loose his car over a few hundred bucks. But all you hatin' on the OP.....dont hate the player, hate the game.

It's people like you sir, that make this country great:beer:.....wanting to help a total stranger......cudos to you sir. I wish the entire population was like that....then there wouldn't be situations like this one.

Just curious, for all the people defending the original owner of the car, what makes you so sure he is an upstanding citizen down on his luck, and not a drug dealer with gun charges that made bail?

We don't know what his crime was, what we do know his that the car is not registered, he does not have a vaild driver's license or insurance, and the car was abandoned

Yup, this is I guy I want to rush to his defense to get his car back so he can get in an accident with no insurance and raise the rates.

I'm not judge mental at all but I used to live in Miami and this I know. A guy with a white mm that did not have a dL or insurance is dirty. I would make him clean that motor before he gets it back
