The X-ice can be used, however, the "Latitude" X-ice ones are for trucks and therefore mostly come in profiles that are too high to fit in the Marauder wheel wells, as is the case w/the Pirelli Scorpion tires. They're also for trucks only. Almost all of the sizes are 29 and 30" heights. Too tall.ADE 1000 said:The Tirerack has two matching sets in the desired 215/65-16 and 225/70-16 combination. The Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow for $89 a tire, and the Firestone Winter force for around $50 a tire.
If someone were stuck on getting Michelins they could get the Latitude X-Ice in the front on the Artic Alpins in the back.

I'm looking for a set of 16" or 17" on CV Steelies.
For the added bling-bling, I might add the chrome spinner caps... :loco:

There are a bunch of reviews on the Tirerack website for the Winterforce tires. Basically dry weather traction sucks and the noise levels are very high. However, most people seem to say that snow traction is as good as or better than the Blizzaks.BillyGman said:very interesting info....I wonder if those cheapie tires are as good in the snow as the Arctic Alpines are, and as the Blizzak W-50's are said to be in all the customers' reviews I've read?
I was speaking of the tires being too tall to fit under the wheel wells of cars including the marauders. however i didn't see the bigger size you've mentioned being listed there. I must have overlooked that. thanks.ADE 1000 said:The Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow comes in the following sizes
215/65-16 = 27.00 inches tall
225/70-16 = 28.4 inches tall
They are listed as a fit for the Marauder on the Tirerack website if you do a search for snow tires. I could see how the tread block design could have an effect on the diameter somewhat, but I do not see how it could vary much from the above dimensions. Even if these tires were slightly larger, they would be larger in the correct ratio.

duhtroll said:Did anyone ever figure out how to make CVPI style center caps work with the 16" steelies in this package? I left my wheels bare last year, but I'm in the mood for a change this year and if the center caps work I will buy some.
Thanks,

duhtroll said:Forgive me for second-guessing you, but I have lately been told the center caps will NOT fit our wheels (from this particular package) since they are slightly different than the CVPI.
So I ask -
Do you have the Unique (brandname) OE style wheels or do you know the center caps will fit them as long as I get the different lug nuts?
I just want to be sure before I go waste some cash.
Thanks,
