Well....This really took off, didn't it! Planning is underway, Dragstrip is locked in, Host hotel submitted its proposal today, Mike is working on securing the space on woodward, and the Ford proving grounds and rouge tour is next on the list. Stay tuned and thanks for the words of encouragement, you have no idea how big an undertaking like this is...
 
While you are at it can you guys do something about the damn roads, I don't want to replace a windshield every time I come up there.

All I can tell you is the state is working on them, they will always be a work in progress with no end more than likely in site because of the expanding population and vehicles.
 
The only road worth mentioning is called WOODWARD! and it is smooth as glass....

You guys ready for one heck of a good time up here?!

I was at Woodward last year for about 4 hours on the day prior to the "Big Day" It was absolutely awesome! I can't wait to cruise with all these MM's.

OK, tentatively put my time off for work in today and need to try and convince the wife that would be a good trip. It will be about 2 months after the new child is due. Either want to use it as the first trip away for the wife and I alone, or a family trip and get the new born in to cars at an early age!!!

Hopefully we will make it.

Whether this is MVIII or not doesn't matter. We will try to be there, just can not commit at this time. If it comes down to a deadline will let you know then.
 
I will be honest, 83 yes votes this quickly is encouraging. Anyone else? We are moving to make plans and we want to plan right the first time round.

Any room out there for a brother from Florida? I'll be making the trip. I'll also be seeing Lidio for at least a Dyno Tune:) . My only concern is a quiet place to stay [for me] that is also safe [for the MM]. I'll be there for the whole week. Can't wait!!:beer:
 
Chuck, I'll be going aswell, I'm going to try and figure out a head count on Sunday to see who else is interested.

mm.net will be sponsoring the MCM festivities, just to what extent is all that's to be determined.

I simply do not have the personal drive to take on an independant MVIII for a 3rd time, it's an enormous time commitment.

Dave and the rest of MCM has gone out of their way to turn the dream cruise into a spectacular Marauder event. So, if they want to call it Marauderville III, I'm flattered and sounds like a great plan to me.

I had planned to do something in the south, but I just am not going to have the time to do it properly, so I'll do everything I can to support MCM.

There, that's the official word. Carry on.

For hotels, saint clair shores, royal oak, troy.
Those are a few cities that you can search on and should be able to set you up.
 
As far as Hotels, I'm more than confident that Dave and the rest of the MCM crew will have us all staying at the same host hotel for this.

If not, I'm sure they (motor city crew) can put up 100+ crazed Marauder Meniacs!:bounce:

I would very interested in going and meeting all the MM guys and of course running down the track supercharged!!!!!!!!!!

It sounds like alot of fun!
