WTB - Car Radio

KillJoy

Sorry..... but my Give A Damn Broke..
I am needing to replace the Radio in my Beater.

I need something that does not say "Please break in and steal me", so, a radio w/ knobs would be perfect.

I would also like Station Presets.

I do not care if it is tape or cd.

Try Crutchfield.com. Look under automotive. They still list old cars by year and make. Company still has buttons and knobs for about $40. I bought one for a 71 Pontiac and it works fine. Good luck.

circuit city and best buy usually have some cheap ones, sometime open box too...got a very nice jvc for a friends car for $60 open box at CC.

sony has some out now that are like $40-50

darn steve i would have given you one but it says "come steal me" lmao

likemy brother said, check Circut City or Best Buy. also craigs list always has good trash on there.

I've got one you can have for $10. that's probably what shipping will cost. It turns on, but i have no clue if it reads a cd. Came in my old truck, hooked it up to see if it turns on, and it does. Pretty sure the radio part works fine.

Honestly, I would be interested. However, don't you think it is still "flashy" and says to the ghetto noob "STEAL ME"???

Steve,
Install an old pyramid or kraco powered EQ or even an old amp and use a 1/8 to RCA jack to input your MP3 player to it. Hide the unit somewhere and there's NOTHING to steal. Put a blank pocket in the radio hole to hold your MP3 player!

oh hell no. Seeing it in person, nobody wants to steal it. it's not the prettiest radio ever. the colors are dull, theres light scratches on the face, you know, it's used. It would be a sad sad day if somebody was willing to break into your car to steal it.

Research shows that long drives are shorter with great music. 50 Watts of power x 4 will smooth out the miles, and you can shape the music to your vehicle with Easy EQ or Sound Focus EQ. Plus, a subwoofer crossover lets you adjust crossover frequencies to maximize your sub's performance. The DEH-P4400 is XM Ready and includes a pop-up rotary volume knob for added tactile control (meaning: you can grab it easier). And for those long road trips, this model can control a CD changer and display CD Text information.

Realistic's at Radio Shack just scream "You can steal me ,but nobody is going to buy me"

I have an 8 track from a 76 Buick.

Don't forget to offer the book of matches needed to keep it on track.
