this board is really not for 20 somethings.....only for "SENIOR MEMBERS" who were in the click that got "divided":flamer:

No thats the other site where the same 8 people post over and over and whine about everything.

In NY, when quota time rolls around, you'll be surprised what you get pulled over for. My GF is a LEO and if she doesnt fill her quota at the end of the month, shes in risk of being transfered or having her tour modified. There is a lot of stress on cops to fill these quota's, However that doesnt give the cop a excuse to be a prick toward you. I would file a complaint and go through the proper channels before making the blanket statment. I have had my share of A-hole cops as well but I have met plenty to know that they are all different.

Right:D

The one's who complain the most are the first to call the Police in times of trouble.
first off i complain because i dont get ticketed, i wouldnt be saying a thing if i got a ticket, i complain because i get pulled over repeadtly and not given a ticket and get harrased because i have a marauder, its wrong. call it age all you want. just dont read this thread if you dont like it.

This underlying point of this thread (my interpretation) is the hatred of those who have lost their lives, left children without parents and sacrifice their well being for the sake of the genneral public.

I dont like that ^^^^^
Maybe he had a bad day, we've all had them.

Cops are ok by me, any day of the week.

Bob, yea, you're right. All the people who complain about the LAW are usually ages of 20-35. Why? Because we are stereo-typed. We have nice, attractive cars that CAN draw attention, and they see someone young behind the wheel and BAM! You're being pulled over usually for something STUPID and if you were in a normal sedan it would be fine. I'm sick and tired whenever these threads come rolling around all the "senior" guys chime in and do nothing but f*cking rag on us. Don't you even tell me when you were in your 20's you weren't stupid. So, if you decide to be "against" us, fine. But say it politely and no eye rolling or things of that sort. Maybe give advice or tell us a story what happened to when you were this age and how you handled it. If you guys call us idiots for going on rants like this, you're just contributing to the fire instead of looking for a way to put it out.

i got pulled over on a motorcycle at work a few months back. test ride, 64 in a 55 or something... back road, anyway i thought it was BS. trooper probably ran 85+ to catch me cuz there was no traffic in sight when i made the turn onto that road. anyway total BS. handed over my license, etc. before going back to the car he says I'm writing you a ticket for 64 in a 55 or whatever. I say "ok" but think what a bunch of crap. He comes back a few mins later (obviously ran me) writes me a warning tells me basically he didnt write me a ticket because I didnt ***** about it when he told me I was getting one.

ok, whatever.

technically speeding i guess...

thats a totally different situation, you were speeding, people who speed get a ticket, that has to happen.

When I got pulled over, he had 2 CV's come and an Expedition. This happened right in the center of town. How embarassing eh? All these people drive by and it looks like I have tons of drugs in my car or it looks like I just robbed some place. And the b!tch of it is, I know like 3 guys on the force and last I checked, one of the guys said all the cops like my car. Go figure.

I too, do not like hearing, I hate cops and cops are pigs.

Good people, bad people. They are all around us.

...

You hate Cops? Who is the first person you will call when you are in trouble?

Mike.

I disagree. I do not pay the salary of or have to deal with "bad burger flippers or even Doctors" but I am FORCED to deal pay for and deal with corrupt, crooked, and abusive cops. Can you not see the difference?

Too much discretion is the problem.

They have too much discretion when it comes to dealing with "non life or death" situations and they make the wrong decisions. Thus, many of us don't trust them or at the very least try to avoid them as much as possible.

Examples,

-We must KISS THEIR ASS when pulled over. Why should I call him "Sir" if he doesn't address me in such a respectful manner? Oh, so maybe if I kiss his ass enough he won't ticket me to his full power? F-That! Want respect, give it.

-How about some of my friends (2 HOTTTT girls) who get out of tickets 100% of the time. I kid you not. It's a huge thing around here. The cops are exchanging phone numbers with them and one even showed up at their house out of the blue. Humm, 18 MPH over the limit and no ticket because the cop is a LOSER and thinks he might have a chance to hook up? Yup, things like that really make you feel like they serve the LAW in a fair manner.

Note: How many of us have been pulled over for something stupid (like 1-5 MPH) and still got the ticket? Or getting pulled over because you ran your fog light during the day? What, they have nothing better or more important to do? Yet, if you are a great looking young girl you can get away with 18 MPH over the limit?

-Also, nobody wants to talk about it but if cops are there to provide "Law and Order" then why do many (if not most) openly admit that they will almost never ticket another cop? It was even discussed here and many of the LEO members openly admitted that they will never ticket another cop. So this is serving the Law in a fair manner? Cops can speed and break other traffic violations while off duty and get away with it just because they are cops? They break the law and don't get ticketed like the rest of us yet they want us to respect them. Well, let me tell you that the public is not stupid and doesn't respect people who abuse their power (of the badge.)

So cops openly admit that they never ticket another cop and many cops don't ticket good looking girls yet many members here have told stories of getting tickets for (traveling as little as 1 MPH over the limit, "sounding" like they drove too fast because the cop didn't even clock them, and now driving with their fog lights on during the day).

Let's face the facts. Cops do a lot of good in many situations but many, if not most, abuse the power of the badge in ways that cause the public to not like them or even trust them.

Having family and a close family friend in law enforcement made me realize that there are good cops but maybe the institution is set up in a way that they get away with all these small abuses which over time causes the public to lose their trust and respect for the WHOLE institution.

:mad2:Well, I am damn glad that I don't do my job to get your appreciation. I would have ate a bullet a long time ago.

When I was younger, I had a major problem with authority and still do when someone wants to throw it around without reason. Now I am one of those with a badge and treat people how I would like to be treated.

I am getting really sick and tired of being grouped into - "All cops are a$$holes" or however you want to post it. So for those of you who truly feel this way, for the first time-here is my feelings on this------------------>

:baby::revenge::bop:

Where is the big flippin' finger when I really needed one? :shake::nono:
