Glad I'm not the only guy who had a Volvo. My first car was a Right Hand Drive 1976 Volvo 240 DL. Maroon Exterior with a Pinkish Red Velvet Cloth Interior.

My first car was a tank and my present car is a tank. Does that say something about me?

My first car was a red & black FIAT 1100 Coupe Sport, 1100 cc. That was back in 1976.
It was working better than all other cars on the road :) . When it was working  .
It made me involved in car mechanic. I liked it so much that I bought after another FIAT, a 131 2000 T/C Racing, with which I learned rally & fast driving.

First car was a '64 Mercury Comet, two tone black on white. Unfortunately it was only a six cylinder, but even back then I knew the value of the "Cherry Bomb" muffler.

1964 Chevrolet Impala with a 327 4bb. auto, air etc.. in great condition when I bought it. I eventually trashed the car (wrecks, racing). It was huge and substituted as the local motel for me on weekends. I eventually jumped a ditch, ran it throught a wire fence and about 100 feet into a famers field racing on a country road at about 90 mph around midnight. Somebody up stairs was watching over me.

1948 Mercury Conv. Bought it in 1959, Colorado Springs, Colo., for 250.00. Drove it for over 2 years (Army) and then drove it home to Georgia. Great car. I want another one but havn't been able to find one.

Mine was a cherry 1948 Chevy four door sedan that I bought from an old lady that only drove it to the grocery store. Really. A perfect car, black, with gray or tan interior, I forget which and that infamous vacumn shifter.

The back seat was very accomodating at the drive in movies.

a baby blue 78 Monte Carlo.. replaced the stock 305 with a 350 that loped, oh so nice :D no cats with flows and an auburn posi rear end..

gone now though :depress:

2003 Mercury Marauder. After reading this thread I feel quite fortunate, and hopefully I'll be able to hold on to this car for a while, as it looks most if not all of you would love to have your first car back.

1974 Plymouth Satellite 2 door hardtop..(Roadrunner basically)
318 auto.
i really wanted to fix that car up, but after taking the fenders off, there was WAY too much rust to fix..

i will own another 73/74 satellite/roadrunner someday.. i love that car.

1969 Chevelle SS, M22, 396, Creager 5 spokes, MT M50's on the back. Still have Chevelle's now. It's the only one I like that will fit my fat behind into it.

Luxury & Power!

1967 Mercury Marquis with the 410 Marauder motor! They advertised it as the "Man's Car" and it was a lot like our Marauders in many ways!

I started driving early 90's and I bought a 1964 Mercury Comet Cyclone, 289 auto, that my dad helped me find. The car was great I had the cool car in high school and it was faster than any new Mustang or Camero. I sold it for a profit since I just could not drive it in the winter, it was too nice for that. Now I want another one.

That was my second, Ryan; bought new in 64. If your back seat was beat to hell, it might have been mine. :D I have had a lot of cars over the past 50 driving years but except for 4 used Porsches the first used car I ever purchased is the FruitPunch. It is the best of them all by a long shot. I should have been buying used muscle cars and moding my whole life. I envy those of you who have. Dennis:2thumbs:
