squeaky hood reprise

At the dealer we'd just apply a little dielectric grease on the hood adjusters. Seemed to take care of it. Just noticed mine starting to squeak this afternoon.

Part numbers for the rubber inserts... I am going crazy! I did learn to raise the osts a little--and it stops for 3 weeks.. But I would lie the rubber stoppers too.

You're not crazy. I had the same problem until I got the posts/bumpers at the right height - then I put a few drops of blue locktight at the base of the threads were they go into the nut.
I haven't had to adjust them or had a squeak (from the hood) in 10 years!

Locktite or jam nuts work.

Jamb nuts would be the "bullet proof" way - at the time I was going for quick fix that you couldn't see. I didn't expect it to last this long.
