What did you do to your car today?

Washed it again.

Things

Getting ready for the 2015 Carlisle All Ford Nationals. Cleaned up both the Marauder and the SHO today. Spent most of the time on engine compartments, wheels, and interiors. Four more days to get the rest ready for the big show.

Clayed bar/waxed, cleaned MAF, throttle body, IAC, checked air pressures, cleaned & oiled K&N filter. More to do on Friday. Got delivery on the
brakemotive rotors & pads wont be installed till after Carlisle though.See you Saturday Charlie.

Put 9 coats of Rustoleum Automotive paint on the hood. Went for 10 but 2 mosquitos landed on it. 600 grit wet sand in 48 hours, then 4 or 5 more coats of paint. Going to let it cure for 2 weeks while in Florida. Then buff with McGuiars buffing compound. Mineral spirits, clear coat then wait 1 more week and wet sand/buff. The paint matches great and laid down very nicely. Tried it on a spot on my rear bumper that some bird used for a toilet some years back before I sprayed the hood. It will be like a sheet of glass when I'm done.

I am dying to see how this comes out.

Uncovered the Marauder last night while talking to a potential buyer.

Fired her up and woke up my little girl, ticked off the wife, scared the stray cat on the porch, and got a laugh out of my neighbor from the whole scene.

Bought and installed a heavy duty exhaust fan for the garage so I can paint all day without opening the back door and allowing dust inside. And turning into a vegetable.

BCM finally gave out and the "hit it with a screw driver" trick stopped working so I swapped it out. That thing was a bit of a pita but it was nice getting to wrench on the old Marauder.

Over the past 2 weeks the Entire cooling stack has been replaced on the MM. This includes the radiator, tranny oil cooler, AC condenser & their associated lines & fittings... Only the stock PS cooler has been reused but separated & independent now to allow for an aftermarket tranny oil cooler.

I am currently awaiting "qty2" Parker 45 degree fittings for atop the tranny oil cooler... I hope they will be rdy for pickup from local Parker dealer in morn so I can install tomorrow & can spend Friday cleaning up the Marauder so it will be ready to attend Carlisle on Saturday... Wish me luck & I'll see everyone on Saturday...

I just added the last Marauder to my collection. I purchased the Silver Birch from CDUB and it is on its way to Marty's to have some work done. Unfortunately now I have no more play money for go fast parts. I am going to have to Work on that.
