What did you do to your car today?

Thought about it.... Worked 14 hours so I could get ahead and spend Sunday with one (it's not supposed to rain, winning!)

Did you notice the burn marks on the top of the gauges?

Should have gone with LEDs. :banana2:

I did notice some slight "yellowing" on the top of my factory gauges fastblackmerc, but I thought that LED's would only work w/ aftermarket gauges, was I mistaken?

Thanks in advance for your input!

I bet now you can do it in 5min with one hand;)

Honestly slickster, I could cut the time down a "bit," but there is no way one can replace both bulbs on factory gauges in under an hour considering how careful one has to be w/ removing the gauge pod bracket, backing off the bolts holding the gauges in place for access to the bulbs using a deep well socket, transferring the blue bulb rubber "condoms" to the replacement bulbs and finally reversing the process, all at the same time ensuring one does not damage any of the surrounding trim.

That job can be done in 10 to 15 minutes.

Yes you where mistaken.

LEDs will replace incandescent bulbs anywhere. They are also dimmable. If you used green LEDs you could have gone naked.... no condoms needed!

Frankly the hardest part is pulling the pod out...... you can do it with your eyes closed... 10 minutes tops.

Prepping.....
