Replaced the bulbs on my factory Oil & Volt meters using 168 Sylvania bulbs. Took me about an hour and a half, what a PITA I must say!![]()
I bet now you can do it in 5min with one hand

Did you notice the burn marks on the top of the gauges?
Should have gone with LEDs. :banana2:

Honestly slickster, I could cut the time down a "bit," but there is no way one can replace both bulbs on factory gauges in under an hour considering how careful one has to be w/ removing the gauge pod bracket, backing off the bolts holding the gauges in place for access to the bulbs using a deep well socket, transferring the blue bulb rubber "condoms" to the replacement bulbs and finally reversing the process, all at the same time ensuring one does not damage any of the surrounding trim.![]()
I did notice some slight "yellowing" on the top of my factory gauges fastblackmerc, but I thought that LED's would only work w/ aftermarket gauges, was I mistaken?
Thanks in advance for your input!
