Here's a Chance - Convertible Concept Marauder!

The bids were there

I was there and the bidding got off to a bad start, the previous car that had rolled off came back to life with some bidding. The auctioneer restarted the bid and it got to 47k rather quick. It looked like they staff tried to get Peter to lift the reserve, and I saw him shake his head and say "not even close". Talked to him afterwards and they seem like nice foks.

Thanks for the update I wish we cold have met there I had on one of Pauls Marauder mechanic shirts.

COOL DEAL! at least it went for more than most of us thought - BID wise at least; I don't blame Peter for not selling/lifting reserve... GOOD Job on modeling one of Paul's great Marauder Mechanics Shirts! Looks damn GOOD! ESPECIALLY in that cool car! 1 of 1! Ya gotta love it!

And has anyone seem what it look like with the top up?

There is no top and no glass in the doors for windows you can see in this pic the car cover stuffed in the trunk where the top would have to fold into. the top deck lid is metal covered with vinyl.

Engine bracket

Look close at the huge and very involved front engine alumimum bracket they made up for the alternator/accessories belt. The whole front engine system looks like it's way over engineered compared to our Trilogy setup. The Trilogy setup is much simplier.

All the brackets on the S/C are stamped Rousch

Match the design

we should make up some coil covers that match that design.

I have done that. I will post up a pick. Doom even has one of the decals. Send me a PM and I will see about getting you some.

Two things, I think the guy should have taken the 50k (but thats just me) and second, I dont understand why this car cant be registered/driven. A bill of sale is good enough for a title in Texas if all the paperwork is done. Seatbelts can easily be installed. Also, if you can regisiter a Bradley GT or one of those 2 foot high 32 Ford sedan ratrods (crap rods) where you have to lay down to drive them you should be able to register this car someplace.

The seat belt is the problem it can be done, and can be registered in some states, the owner did not take the 50K it will just go back in his collection that was not the only car he was selling that weekend.
