Ideally, the closer to the engine you can get the balance pipe/x pipe the better. You will suffer some power loss from not having a balance pipe. Your exhaust has to travel all the way to the tips of the tail pipes to find balance, which is the opposite of what you want.
Same. I was just looking at the Gear Vendors site and it seems they don't support our transmission. Which one fit?
Also, how does it shift in normal driving? Does it drive like an 8 speed auto, or are you manually turning it on and off?
We haven't had a meet on Long Island in years. :alone:
It's just not feasible to commute through NYC just to go to a restaurant.
Although I would settle for an English Town track meet. :burnout:
This is the sound it makes when the boost bypass valve doesn't open. It also explains why it's not an issue under load.
Here is a picture from a google search. (Yellow circle) It should open when the car is in idle.
I just want to point out, an intake from a Trilogy kit won't work on an Eaton. Trilogy modifies the intake. There is a section of the area the gasket goes on that was shaved off. You can see the outline left behind by the original Eaton gasket in this picture.
I had to shave it off myself...
I'm almost positive that I was one of the the first ones, if not, the first one to install this on a Marauder. I bought an incomplete Trilogy kit that was missing the crossover pipe and Trilogy offered to sell me the pipe for $1000! Going with this kit was a no brainer for me.
For the lower...
I just did a google search on that code. Apparently it means that there is a short to ground in the headlight circuit. I guess they are claiming that it broke due to a short frying it, so they don't have to count it under the recall??? Maybe try resetting your ECU codes and go to a different...
I've done it twice. Once to swap the stock face plate onto the aftermarket gauge, and the second time to swap it back to the aftermarket faceplate so it would match the boost gauge that I replaced my volt gauge with. It's not hard, just go slow when you pry up the sides of the aluminum bezel.
I've used this forum for that exact purpose before. I was trying to remember some mod I did to the car years ago and just looked it up in my post history. Also, I've even gone through the post history of the previous owner to see what he did to the car. This site is a valuable resource for...
That's not exactly true. The pulley clutch is more like a one way ratchet. It's only purpose is to prevent belt chirp when you shift gears caused by the inertia of the alternators spinning mass by allowing the alternator to over spin the belt. The clutch has nothing to do with the alternator...
I did the Autometer oil sender/gauge swap years ago, but the oil sender started leaking oil recently. I was wondering if this was a common issue and if there was a higher quality one I should be looking for, or is mine just a fluke and the autometer one is fine?
Sorry I never got back to your pm. I had an eye injury and an eye patch on last week. I couldn't be asked to look at a computer screen. I actually don't have them anymore. I brought them to Carlisle every year, every meet up, and every car show. I gave them away to anyone I saw who had a...
This is correct. I accidentally ordered the 11140 instead of the 11142. The difference is one has the input and output inline while the other has it offset. It installed just fine. I just installed the whole pump rotated 180 degrees.
Should I be receiving the letter too? I bought the car used from a Ford dealer that's now closed back in 2006. I've already had to repair mine twice, but it is currently working. Do i have to wait for it to break again, or will they just replace it for me without the letter if I ask them to?
