For Sale 04 DTR MM, 465 original mi...The eBAY game starts over

I predict that reserve is $25k, minimum.

Current second place bibber must know that it only takes $100 more
bid to be #1
2***c(263) $22,997.00 Jan-24-12 16:51:44 PST

He was also tied for first place (but not in lead) in first auction,
must have known that it would have only taken $100 more bid
to be #1
2***c(263) $23,000.00 Jan-06-12 16:41:39 PST

I think you have a point: That looks like an alt user for the Mr. in question...

I know this is probably sssoooo random! Haha I Just wanna know if I made a mistake:
I bought on September an 04 DTR with 23,230 miles on it for 14k....did I pay too much for it or no?

Depends, if it's been winter driven and set out in the weather, I wouldn't have touched it for $14K... If it was pampered and garage kept then you got a deal...

Not true. I had an 04 DD with nitrous for 2 1/2 years. you could eat off of my engine and underbody.

Oh well yeah has never touched snow nor rain and practically only driven on nice sunny days...but some people(who don't know what a marauder is) believe I paid too much.

Are you satisfied with your decision?? If so than why do you care what people say. Better yet why are you letting them spend your money? We do a lot of that here, stomp on what people sell their vehicles for. As what was said in another post high price for our cars (used) means that we retain the value longer.

Exactly!! Like no I'm happy with my purchase!! Just most people who know how much I bought it say its too much When I could've bought a crown vic-_- example this one guy was saying that I should get a grill Like his for my car (he owns a crown Vic) all I said was "do you see that bumper right there(pointing to my marauder) it costs way more than your car" obviously I mightve exaggerated but eh I got my point across haha :)

As a concerned person, I strongly urge that nobody do any business or attempt to with zebrowski6242. I sat and watched him set the auction parameters, get a winner, then told the winner no sale, then raised up his cost to hold up his end of the bargain by going outside of eBay and tacking on thousands of dollars to the cost of the car - stating that it was not about the money - that the car was for his (unborn) baby, he could never EVER sell it! Then when this dishonorable extortion attempt fails, he re-lists it within the hour!! This person is a dealer and a long term eBay seller. HE KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT HE IS DOING. No name calling, no lies - Just the simple facts:

This all from the winner of the action:

http://www.paragoncom.net/2004marauder.pdf

The Gentleman, michael zebrowski (extremecc70@aol.com) (ebay id: zebrowski6242) Owner of Extreme Car CO Eynon, PA sold his 2004 Mercury Marauder to me via ebay no reserve auction. He then refused the completed sale, demanding more money. I had multiple contacts with Mike before the end of the auction. He told me that this was the perfect car for me and that it was a no reserve, so I should bid to win.

A few minutes before auction close, called him and I told him that I was at the CES show in Vegas using a mobile device and that I could not see the terms and conditions of the sale. He told me that if I won, all I had to do was to pay the balance within 7 days.

I won the auction for $23.1k and made the deposit. During the next few days, Mike would not take nor return my phone calls. He did message that he had sellers remorse but that I would really enjoy the car.

When he finally got back to me, he demanded more money outside of eBay and cited his own website where he is listing the car for more money here at this web address:
You can see it here listed for $29,995
http://extremecarco.com/index.php

and here you can see the details, its the same pictures and etc.

Too Funny!

FROM THE eBAY AUCTION:
On Jan-27-12 at 18:42:23 PST, seller added the following information:
Hello, first I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to view my wonderful Marauder, however I need to address some issues that are bothering me. Several Ebay members have sent me e-mails asking why the item was relisted after being sold with no reserve. The answer to that is I was really hopeing the car would have done alot more than it did. there were 106 watchers with less than 12 hours to go. Ebay will not let me end an item once reserve is met and there is less than 12 hours left in the auction. Shill bidding is also against there policy so I of course could not have anyone bid the item up. When the auction ended it was several thousand dollars less than I owned the car for. I just had a beautiful son 10/01/2011 and decided before I lost that much money I would keep the car and enjoy it with him as he got older. I asked the high bidder to cancel the transaction as I was having sellers remorse. They refused. Therefore binding me to the auction. However my ad states a deposit required within 24 hours after the auction ends. They did not send the deposit, therefore I chose not to sell the Marauder to the individuals resulting in the negative feedback I received. I also personally own a 2010 Dodge Challenger with 1400 miles. I have since made the decision to sell the Challenger and relist the Marauder and purchase a 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 ( 4 doors ) that was produced on 10/01/2011 to enjoy with my little guy. Several ebay members have also been contacting me through ebay abusing me behind the keyboard for not selling the car. I also believe that these individuals are also members of a national forum with nothing better to do than attack me. If they knew the whole story and were put in my situation, I am sure they would have made the same decision I did. This is an amazing car and 1 of a kind. If it does not sell, I will just put it away. I appreciate you taking the time to read this and I hope you understand why it was relisted.

WHA. WHA. WHA.:cry:This remark and Smiles were meant towards SELLER.
He lies and thinks that bringing up his new son or his other cars has anything to do with this.
BTW, thanks for posting W4LTD.

In my option this is wrong place to post THIS and get your ego stroked. :bandit:

Those people are D-bags and your should stab them in their eyes with rusty rebar. I look forward to seeing your DTR hopefully soon after winter.

Well, I guess you guys figured after enough bashing you would hear from me. Everyone who has commented on my actions do not know me. There are members who do as I have purchased their cars, and There are members who have purchased Marauders from me. What I added to my listing is the truth. I dare anyone of you to be placed in my situation and not do what I did. It is easy to pass judgement when not having all the facts. Did you know the high bidder bid on the car for a friend? The buyer contaced me prior to bidding to inquire about shipping and then after winning the auction asked if I could assist in shipping. Also if I had received the deposit, I would have been obligated to sell the car, and for those who say why should he send the deposit, so I could keep his deposit and the car. Please, that is just an excuse as he sent the deposit anyway and I refunded it immediately. I did pay a lot of money for this Marauder because it was the best I have ever come across since buying one new. If the economy was better, I would have never offered it for sale to start with. I know that the winning bidder was not happy with me, but I did try to work it out with him, but he never got back in touch with me. Why members of this forum have the inability to mind there own business and pass judgement on me with out being in my shoes escapes me.

So did the winning bidder make a deposit with 24 hours or not? If not, you did nothing wrong. If so, you should be ashamed of yourself and taken to court.

Were you reachable in the first 24 hr's after auction end or did you ignore emails, messages, and phone calls? Answers listed above.

Did you indeed try to get more money out of the buyer after they won the auction? Answers listed above.

What would EBAY find if they checked into all the bidders I.P. address's? Relationships with you in any way? Just a thought, not accusing.

Was the buyer having second thoughts and delayed the 24 hr payment? You should then be happy right? Did he try to contact you saying he was out of town and please please give him 48 hr's? Jerk move on seller to decline, but well within your rights and still your chess move, either way, your the one in the right.

We need to hear more from him on this as well.

As for minding our own business... Welcome to one of the tightest knit car clubs you will ever find on the nets. We own damn near half the cars left out there, some even own two or three. And yes, we care about how our brotheren are treated.

So there it is, you came here to clear your name which I totally get. Let's hear some facts, you might just be an honest guy, or at least wording on your side? If not, I'm not too sure why you would even bother to explain yourself.

Hello again and to answer the questions asked. The gentleman who bid on the car was not the buyer. The buyer contacted me and told me he as out of town but never mentioned needing more time to send the deposit, why would he, his friend is the one who bid and obviously he was at home. The bid was placed with just a couple minutes left. once he won, he should have sent the deposit and I would have had to sell him the car. Also once I asked to cancel the transaction and he declined, he should have sent the deposit and again I would have been obligated. Was I relieved that the deposit was sent late. YES. Also As my revision to my listing stated I could not have anyone shill bid at the end as that is against ebay policy and in some states the law. I did ask the gentleman who was the last bidder to consider giving me a little more, and that I will not deny. I have close to $27,000 in this car not including advertising. If he indeed wanted the car, and would have offered a few hundred dollars more, I still would have sold the car, as I believed he really wanted it. And Yes before I was going to lose all that money I was going to keep it and enjoy going to shows with my son. I have no need to lie about any of this. I am a decent person who takes pride in being honest. Because of the harassing emails and name calling I have received through ebay, I have removed the listing. I really do not need the abuse, would you want to be on the receiving end of the harassment? I did not think so.
