If you want it that bad pay for the appraisal and go from there
I thought about doing that, but then I have 890 dollars in a car that I don't have.
The main fear is the appraisal gets done and then the lender changes up the loan costing more. Or worse yet the lender denies the loan. Leaving me 890 in the hole for nothing. The lender won't tell me either way whether the car has a snow ball hell in chance of passing the valuation. I ask then to talk to the appraiser to see if it's in the ball park before he does the appraisal and they say he gets paid to appraise. Sure I get that, but if he's in the business he would know off the top of his head just hearing how much and what said condition the car is in could give a reasonable answer. Boy, this is starting to feel like buying a house all over again.
I guess I need to look for a cheaper car. Buy from a individual. Problem their is most people aren't big on cashier checks. Not sure how they work the deal. Last time I bought a car from a individual and financed it took me a month to get the title.
Oh, well their is the old way of doing things and just save up and buy for cash.
