F/S Shelby #123 of 1000

I had the first one, The 1983 Shelby Omni/Charger it was a cool car!
I could beat the small v-8 F-bodies and the old 5 slos' and get 25 MPG :D
When you're twenty, this is important! *$8,290.00 MSRP I ordered it with no options, No A/C :bigcry:

It was gonna be my answer to $4 bucks/gal gas but have a sporty fast car in my collection that or an Omni was fine with me.Its a bit over priced for the market if you ask me...If that engine was run hard at all the oil should have been changed every 2k heh those turbos ripped the oil up good.

Bob, I believe it's a finances thing. I'm not positive, but I think there's some unexpected medical expenses.

I don't know what Adam listed, but from the email I've got, it says

"55,000 orginal miles, EXTRA COMPLETE TURBO MOTOR INCLUDED, along with other parts and decals."

"willing to let interested buyers take a test drive"

If anyone is interested, you can reply by email in the first post, or PM me, and I can give you the owner's number.

extra motor! oh cool all i saw was
Come with complete spare Turbo decal kit, and other misc parts.

i love those cars i want one. i had a 89 lebaron with that motor and i got it to do low 13s with little mods. and man did them foxbody and f body guys hate me. i would love to buy that car but i have my eyes on a different dodge shelby. im BIG into shelby dodges and that car in mint can bring lots more money.

I was pretty sure that was a daytona, my friend has an '85 Chrysler Laser and it is essentially the same car that he's trying to restore.

Peppy little things is right, all kinds of torque in the turbo packages, but his only has the 3-speed auto and it is not too conducive of seriously scooting. They look oddly like a stunted DeLorean if the front bumper cover is off. :P

They definately don't make 4-cyls like that any more...

The MazdaSpeed 3 is about the best 4cyl turbo around now. Glad the turbo bolts right to the Fusion......

But when the MazdaSpeed 3 tried me in the Mach1, he shamefully was left behind.

Correction... Extremely fast!

I have a friend who owned one with minimum modification and he made the 1/4 mile at Napierville in 9.86 sec

Bye bye Marauder :banana2:

:bs: That must have been in Canadian seconds... or the eighth mile...

If this can do 12s, imagine how easy a shelby charger can do 10s

I was with him every weekend at Napierville and he was always in 10s, with 9.86s best run and i was in the 12s with my 87 Daytona. Now 15 years later Stephane Beauregard make the 1/4 in 8.04 with the same Shelby Charger but much more modded.

Want some more? So before saying im BS you, take some information.

You can spend the same amount of money for mods on a turbo dodge and a marauder and the dodge would be faster. But the marauder would look better doing it.

Bingo! Same for the Mustang. Kills me to know that I shaved 1.5 seconds off my quarte mile time with the Trilogy, but I'll always be yet another second behind any Mustang with the same mod level. Of course, the MM looks waaay better doing it!

my daily driver is an 89 turbo dodge lancer that i towed out of an old ladies garage a couple years ago with less than 50k on it, we just added a $15.00 adjustable boost controler and believe me it will rip my marauder a new a$$ , but it does look kind of gay doing it. however, you can fit a complete big block engine in the hatchback, i dont think i would try that with the marauder.

Ain't that a Charger Shelby, Not a Daytona Shelby?

Yes, that's a Shelby Charger

I drove a number of turbo Chrysler 2.2-2.5's..... yeah, they can be a BLAST! Beware the torque steer!
I'd love to have the one posted above, but it makes no sense right now.

In the late '80's I had a Daytona Turbo Z, there was very little to no torque steer. I don't know about the Chargers and Omni's but my Daytona had equal length axles.

Sorry for the crappy picture, I took a screen snipe from an old converted to DVD 8mm video.

I had a friend that drove a Turismo (sp?) in High School. Then he bought an Omni. He'd probably pee his pants over that car. I know his dream car was a blue and silver Shelby one of those. Sort of a goofy car, but what did the mid 80's have that wasn't goofy?
