The new SHO is AWD, puts out 365hp with it's ecoboost turbo V6, has a six speed transmission with paddle shifters. Has a rear view camera, and has a front censored cruise control that automatically keeps you the same distance from the car in front of you even if some one cuts in front of you.

Glad to see Ford doing this car. Especially these days. They need special cars like this to draw the faithful back.
Looks like a real nice car. Won't trade my MM on one, but as soon as I get that check from the lottery comission, I could use another toy...

Did you hear the comment in the "under hood" video about tuners getting 500hp out of the car???

Hmmmmmm, definitely need to keep an eye on this one.

If they can squeeze 375 hp out of a GM 2.0L DOHC I4 (direct injected) you can bet that the Ford 3.5L V6 can pump out more than 365 hp with some work. The idea of Twin Force or EcoBoost is nothing new. Ford's competitors have already used it in the past and in fact Mazda does it with the Ford 2.3L DOHC I4 in the Mazdaspeed3 (2.3 DISI , turbocharged gasoline direct-injected engine).

FWIW, the extra goodies like the rear camera and laser/radar cruise control is mainly done to better compete with foreign cars but it is a dollar short and a day late. The $38k price tag doesn't help much either. If you notice that the 2010 Fords all get a lot of uprated features. The 2010 Fusion / MKZ finally gets a cabin air filter and the 2010 Mustang also has a rear camera so you can watch the cars that you passed.

I think that all Ford needs to do is keep pumping out new cars...really...who in the US market has put anything out that is truly exciting:

Ford Flex....Cool!
New F150....Need I say more?
New Mustang...pricey but the V6 even kicks butt!
Ford Fusion is the sleeper of economy cars...great features.

GM's G8 is the onl thing I see as somewhat cool right now that is priced within reason.

We told Earl Ford needs to loose all the chrome and embed SHO in the rear bumper and build a MTX model to which he said we need to bombard Ford letting them know they need to build a MTX.

There was a guy from Triolgy that hinted at something like this when we went to MarauderVille in Detroit. Can't remember his name, but that was 4 years ago. Maybe that's how long it takes to develop something like this?

Nice hookup!!

Press passes. Very Nice

It's good to be a frodbastard eh!

Now we know why Ford said they don't need bailout money. Hope this thing sells like crazy.

I'd have to sit in one to see if it's a potential next buy. I HATE the high window lines of the current cars like the Vibe, and the Magnum/300/Charger. The restricted sight lines make me feel like those damned kids in Hondas who drive with their seats fully reclined.
I've been considering restoring a late 90s Quattro V8 5spd...this may be moved down the list now.

SHOmurph has been emailing back and forth with Earl the designer we're trying to get him to bring one down for a track event so we can see how it preforms on the track. I told Murph to suggest to Earl at the next car show Ford does to invite the Marauder Club for a preview. So hopefully some of you guys can get a preview of it as well.

Earl is an awesome dude! was fun to talk with him in Chicago. the new SHO is an amazing car.. really really nice.

"The SHO Must go on! : >

Hey Guys,
Yeah, "Magnificent Ford bastardS!" is RIGHT! I vividly recall these original SHO's and those offered incredible performance and fun on an economical basis too! GLAD FORD has the STONES to put this out NOW and I also hope it takes off! I could see one in my future..."have you driven a 'SHO' lately?!" "It's SHO time!" and "Get the SHO on da road!" :bandit:
