I have been in contact with Wheel Replicas to make an 18x10 polished Marauder wheel available to the community.

These wheels will be exact replicas of the OEM Marauder wheel except they will be 18x10 with the appropriate offset.

Whether or not this happens depends on the amount of interest displayed in this thread.

No money is being collected. This poll is to gauge interest to see if there is enough interest to justify moving forward.

The cost of the wheels will be under $200 each if they are produced.

If there is enough interest then the next step will be:
Contact MM.NET management to see what is involved in running a group buy.

Please post if you are interested in purchasing either a set of 4 or a pair of 2 18x10 Marauder wheels.

Thanks for the interest!

EDIT:

I called Wheel Replicas yesterday and it doesn't look like we're going to have enough initial sales for them to invest money in producing a mold.

Wheels are produced in batches of 1000 and they want at a minimum 500 wheels sold up front to justify investing in the mold.

They are able to do smaller batches but the price goes up so much that it's no longer worthwhile.

Unless a vendor here wants to invest their money in buying a bunch then reselling them to the community I don't see this happening.

At least we tried and I appreciate all the feedback.

Unfortunately these wheels would be cast since forged isn't an option.

As far as 18x9.5 vs 18x10 if enough people want the wheels half an inch narrower then that could be done.

If anyone would rather have 18x9.5 then post in the thread and let me know!

Thanks.

Isn't cast significantly weaker. I remember folks warning me about that with my knock off Chinese wheel (long since gone)

Or does it not matter in this case due to the weakness introduced by widening?

Cast wheels need to have more material to maintain the same strength of a comparable forged wheel which allows forged wheels to be lighter than cast wheels.

I also am interested, but i only think the replica rim co. only does cast as most aftermarket rims are cast, i know forged are stronger and lighter. cast will work for me, thx

I need some more specs before I could say yes or no. Like what is the "proper offset" going to be and how are they going to obtain that offset, IE a deeper "lip" or adding material to the back of the mounting surface and recessing the lug nuts deeper? I'd also like to know the weight of said wheel. I've found the Chinese replica wheels to be significantly heavier than OE wheels, disproportionate to the increase in size.

Man for the right price. How can you go wrong :burnout:

Eaton Swap + 4.10's = Wreeeeeeeeeedom!!

I think with an all new rim and a precise offset you could actually achieve an 11" rim, 2" in, 1" out. I would LOVE to see this, but a 10" would work if need be. I'd be down for four.

The best offset for 18x10's based on my research is +50mm. That offset and size will fit the front and rear without sticking out past the fenders.

As far as the design of the wheel my preference would be to keep the outside wheel face the same since the OEM design of the spokes going into the lip creates the illusion of a larger wheel and I wouldn't want to lose that. If there is enough interest to move forward than a final design will be shown before anything happens.

The weight of the wheel likely won't be known until they are produced.

At this point the goal is just to see if there is enough interest to justify moving forward. If you are interested then vote!

Unfortunately if everyone decides to hold off on voting until the weight is known then this will never happen.

Id be in for a 20x10!!!

I'm with you! I think it would be pretty cool also to do some 19x10's since Steve Babcock originally wanted 19" wheels on the rear before the bean counters stepped in.

Unfortunately wheels are made in batches of 1000 so what gets made is what would sell the most to keep the price reasonable. I got the impression that smaller batches were possible but that the price would go up significantly. How significantly I don't know.
